.

I like Christmas and have got a few presents squirrelled away ready. This year my daughter is at her fathers so it will be a quiet one, may even just stay in my pyjamas all day

I'm a scrooge....I can't be doing with it all, apart from on the actual day/week. Why does it have to start in bloody September? Even if it was confined to just December it would be more bearable.

There, my first Christmas rant of 2020...thank you OP, I feel much better now

I've already handed out this year's Christmas presents a couple of weeks ago.

Roll on December 26 when it’s all over and don’t have to worry about it again until October ‘21.

I'd be much happier spending Christmas on my own. Just another day.

And everyone rushing around to get food in that most people don't actually enjoy eating as though food was a rarity. A big meal like that isn't special nowadays.

Fuck Christmas I say

shits creek

I'm a scrooge.

The reason I'm a scrooge is because I want nothing more than to be surrounded by friends and family during the festive period. I want to share it, I want a sense of togetherness.

Instead I have the "pleasure" of working all the way through including Xmas day. I don't get the chance to see family and haven't seen family around Xmas time for well over 10 years.

Xmas for me is literally seeing other groups of friends and family doing what I wish I was doing and half the time they don't appreciate it, they use it as an excuse to treat people like shit and blame you for "ruining their Xmas" because they booked a table for 6, turned up with 8 and we can't accommodate the changes they didn't bother checking to see we could do.

I know it's not about gifts, but it does make you feel shit when 9 times out of 10 the only one you get is the secret santa from work.

I love Christmas!!!

I love being all warm, with wood fires, hot chocolate and snuggly blankets. And snow when I can get it! X
