Would you consider vaping as smoking?
I've put non smoker as I vape. My reasons is that people won't new smokers because of the smell etc. Vaping there is no smell.
Am I right to do this? Maybe there should be a vape option also.

I've put non-smoker as well but put I vape in my profile. There should be a vape option as well as a smoking option.
I am still happy to meet smokers because I like the smell of smoking and I particularly like kissing a woman after she's had a cigarette  |

We don't play with smokers, but generally will with vapers. There is still a smell and a taste associated with people who vape, but it isn't as horrible as a smoker.
What can be annoying sometimes with vaping is when people just constantly puff away every minute or so for the entire evening.
If I was you though, class yourself as nonsmoking and put in your profile that you vape, maybe mention to any meets who "don't meet smokers"

Vaping isn't smoking as you are not burning anything. You may not even consume nicotine.
How someone behaves in my home, for example, is something that I have 100% control over. If I don't want them to do anything, they don't or are asked to leave.
Otherwise, consuming via Vaping is no more my business than if they have consumed anything else, such as coffee. |

If you were likely to vape around us I’d prefer to know. If you were doing it outside then not so much of a problem. I just don’t want to breathing any of it in and I find lots of vapers seem to be attached to their vape and are constantly puffing away on it, that would put me off.

I don't class vaping and smoking as the same
As someone said before with smoking you need to burn something vaping is just that vapour same as what you get when boiling a kettle |

I don’t class vaping and smoking as same too.
Smoking leaves a terrible smell and taste where vape doesn’t. There is a massive difference in between. I actually like the strawberry flavoured rooms so vapers with nice flavours can come in my way   |

I neither smoke nor vape, but I do not understand the hatred some have for vaping. The vapour is steam, no different to what comes off a pan of tomato soup on the hob, and tomatoes have nicotine in them! Many who vape are trying their best to overcome their addiction to tobacco and should be encouraged rather than pilloried. Giving up an addiction is not easy, and I notice that most who say they hate vaping have "social drinker" on their profiles. Alcohol causes far more harm to society than vaping ever will, so look to your own addiction before chastising others for theirs  |

It stinks. They blow it all over the place which is disrespectful. I couldn't give a shit if they have an addiction, they can vape all they want in private away from other people.  |

I’m not chastising anyone for anything, I wouldn’t choose to breathe in the steam from tomato soup either. I would just ask that someone doesn’t vape (or smoke) in the same room as me. Obviously, if it’s their house it’s their rules and I would make myself scarce.

Yeah mines not major. Only have mine on 16watts average is 40-50 some of the guys in Norway who had a vape shop go up to 70-80!!! |

We refuse to meet smokers due to the overall smell and the bad breathe associated with ciggies.
We're happy with vapers as both these issues have been replaced with menthol or raspberry ripple type of odours.
Very few vapers use tobacco flavoured juice as the sweeter varients taste far nicer.

The same, in as much as it's a vapour. The content though, is entirely different. The steam from boiling a kettle is water vapour. Look at the content of vape juice... lots of glycerine and other things in there, so very defiantly not the same.
Others have pointed out the attachment some papers have to their devices. Personally, I think its ridiculous, but I've never been a smoker. While you can vape without nicotine, most vape liquids contain nicotine or it can be bought separately to add to the juice.
Smokers are not addicted to smoking, but the nicotine contained therein. While vaping is less harmful (as best as we know at this stage) nobody has suggest its safe, but at least with vaping the odours are less obnoxious.
Be honest an upfront and declare it. I think fab should have vaping as a profile option, similar to smoking. |

I hate smoking but agreed to meet a guy for a drink who vaped a few years ago. However when he turned up he vaped non stop and after an hour I told him I was going home as it was a turnoff for me. Yuck |

^^This^^ I used to smoke and now I vape. I enjoy both. It is part of who I am. Accept it or move on. |

Agreed. Just as smokers and vapers need to accept some people will choose not to meet/ play with them because of it.
