I am irate!
I don't contour. I put my foundation on with my fingers. I don't own 24 makeup brushes. I don't have false eyelashes and my eyebrows are definitely not on fleek/point.
Am I even a woman?!

I do contour. I've lost count of makeup brushes. Eyebrows usually on point. Foundation... depends on the foundation.
You're a woman if you identify as a woman and anyone who tells you otherwise can shove off. |

I own four makeup brushes that my sister bought me. I don’t even wear foundation never touched my eyebrows and if I ever wore false eyelashes (maybe five times in my life) I had to get my dad to put them on me |

I’m super girly but I don’t do any of that either. I have over plucked eyebrows from the 90s that are beyond repair and I can’t get on with makeup brushes etc. Last time I tried to contour I looked like a tiger
If I have an event I get someone else to do my makeup, if not I just smear it on and hope for the best |

Don't see many brummie women on the forum.
Contour or no contour nature always enhances the good bits.
You look all woman to me don't let anyone tell you otherwise |

I don't wear make up. I've never dyed my hair. I've never plucked or otherwise altered my eyebrows. I haven't ever worn false eyelashes or had false nails put on. I once had a French manicure (for my wedding). I have my hair cut about bimonthly in a nice Manchester salon and that's my only spend on my appearance, other than razor blades for my legs etc.
I'm a woman |

Man! I feel like a woman!
Shania - god rest her soul.
Ummm did I miss the bit where Shania popped her rhinestone cowboy boots?! "
Oooops! My bad. You are correct. Google says she’s bigger and better than ever! I always confuse Shania with Whitney Houston for some reason. |

On a related but also unrelated note, am I the only insane mother who wouldn't let her daughter have a toy makeup thingy? If she got one for Christmas or birthday, I'd make it disappear. I don't think little girls should be encouraged to plaster themselves in makeup, it should be for older teens, if they want to. I might just be a nutter |

I was the same. They were allowed to face paint but not make up. Replica guns were banned too, if they improvised, fine. |

You most definitely are a woman.
I don't do any of those things either, and rarely wear makeup.
Strangely I own a lot of makeup... I do dry my hair though.
Enjoy being you... |

Ironically given *points at 2020 self* I destroyed all toy makeup stuff I was given as a kid. Nope, not having it, in the pile with the decapitated Barbies |

Unless it's actually harmful or inappropriate, I think children should be encouraged to play with whatever they want.
I was never a girly girl, I played with cap guns, cars and the boys.
However, I grew into a well adjusted woman who has always been happy being herself and hates violence.
Allowing a girl to play with makeup, in my mind, will not do any harm. |

Although I do wear a bit of makeup (tinted moisturiser, concealer and mascara usually), I don't like contouring or those strange square eyebrows...I much prefer the natural look. I do occasionally wear false lashes for a night out, but only because I have crappy, stumpy natural lashes |

My daughter has never been allowed one either. She's 11 now and is not allowed anything more than lip gloss. It'll stay that way until she's at least 15 I hope. I rarely wear makeup.

My girls are adults now. I'm guilty of buying pink plastic shite.
But like everything you have to strike a balance. My girls also know how to decorate, clear a U Bend and use a mastic gun. They just do it with false lashes and lip liner..
