If you really want one and you have particular designs in mind.. otherwise no. I waited years to get mine until I was really sure what I wanted and who o wanted to do it..

Just do your research on the tattooist you choose before you book in !

Have you got something meaningful in mind? A story you want to tell?

If you have to ask for other peoples opinion the answer is NO! Sleeves are a massive commitment, numerous sittings, huge cost. You have to really want sleeves, want to the point you need sleeves. Its not like getting a My little pony on your ass only to regret it but still able to laugh about it.

Definitely research the artist, have ideas and designs in the style you like ready to show them at the consultation,

Tattoos are only awesome if they suit the person.

It's a big commitment xx

Got to agree with this! All my tattoos I have got/plan to get I have thought about long and hard. While I may ask certain people close to me what they think of a design or placement I'd never just do what they said blindly. If you need to get justification from others that getting it is a good idea that should tell you that you are getting it for the wrong reasons.

If you want one go for it, but get a Plan together first.

I spent loads of time planning the top half of my

Sleeve and the kinda just let the artist do his thing on the lower half. No stencils, just drawn straight onto my arm with a sharpie and then tattooed over.

I agree with what everyone has said on here - Go for it but plan it out first.

A bad one won't look good on you, research your tattooist and check out their previous work, most good ones want to display their art

Tattoos should never be anyone's devotion but your own. They're a very personal accessory and it's you who has to live with it. Only you should make this decision. If asking if it hurts etc. Then... Only in places. Under the arm by my armpit was the worst part!

Try and come up with your own design or a unique idea of what you want, it is way better when it is unique to you rather than one from the sheets. That's my opinion at least.
