im fed up of been inundated with fast food leaflets been posted through my door, they take no notice of the polite NO LEAFLETS note on my door which they can clearly see so i have decided to take matters in to my own hands and stand behind the door with a air horn and when they post them through i blast it through the letter box,the look of shock on their faces is worth paying for!
does anyone else have this problem and how would you solve it ideas please. |

I had leaflets from one place delivered everyday for a week, I took them to said establishment and had a few choice words with the guy behind the counter, never got anymore from there, but still get crap from the dozen or so other takeaways |

put them in an envelope and post them back to them without a stamp.
they have to pay the excess postage charge.
doesnt stop them but makes me smile. |

Is this something that's solvable ?
We have the same problem but I realised most of the people delivering the leaflets aren't able to read well.
You could try sorting it directly with the fast food shop but I doubt it will stop them coming through the letter box for long.

I dont even see why you are complaining about this.
Leaflets???? i dont call them leaflets trust me
I work for a students accommodation. If you can imagine the unwanted posters and leaflets dropped over night in all the wall....
We just bin them or put all in a big box and send it the night club who send more posters in the month |

I don't know! Some of you women are never happy!
Too many takeaway menus in your letterbox!
Too many messages in your inbox!
You don't see single guys moaning about either!
(Although some might say that's probably cos they need the takeaway menus to feed themselves whilst wanking on cams and waiting for an elusive inbox message!) |

That is the 1 major benefit of living where I do.
To get to my front door, you have to go thru a gate (locked), across a yard, up a flight of external stairs, through a door (locked), along an enclosed passage and then the front door.
It's ace.
No canvassers.
No leaflets dropping through.
No friends coming round unannounced.
No family members dropping in without invitation.
And I collect my post once a week |

"I save all the junk mail that is delivered with the post and pop it back in the nearest post box if everyone did it royal mail would soon get the message "
If iris royal mail that posts them (which most times it isnt as it's costs customers lots for them to do) then just register for door to door opt outs, otherwise register with mailing preference service I've found most take away menus are just done by guys from the take aways them selves tho |

When we lived in a flat we always used to moan that we never got.
Since we moved into a house we get at least a dozen every day...now we moan that we get too many!
Just can't please some people |

Ideas .....
1. Make a sign that is bigger than your house.
2. Make a sign for 'no leaflets' in every language in the universe.
3. Make a talking version of the sign.
4. Nail up your letter box.
5. Tie string around the gate
6. Lay barbed wire around the tops of your fences.
7. Electrify the letter box , just in case they get the nails out.
8. Start a fire in your hall where the letters drop.
9. Train your dog to fetch mail and bin leaflets
10. Make yourself a dress from the leaflets.
11. Put all leaflets through next door's letter box.
12. Order a pizza.
13. Keep a scrapbook of leaflets for five years and compare prices for then and now.
14. Make cheaper versions of the food and start your own business.
15 Phone the takeaways and ask them if they want to borrow a leaflet.
Alternatively .... put them in the bin without a second glance. Easiest option. |

North of The Wall - youll need your vest |
I send them all a personalised response thanking them for their leaflet and complimenting them on their pics - no cut and paste here....
After all, manners cost nothing and not responding is very rude dontchaknow... |

I ordered delivery of a nasty sounding kebab. When it arrived,I said I wasnt paying and the kebab would do as payment for storing their leaflets over the years. The delivery fella phoned the shop and jabbered away and offered it me for half price.
Curiosity got the better of me and I can recommend a chicken shorma and lamb tikka kebab to everyone.
Wouldnt risk a repeat order from the same place though !!!
Did the same with Dominos and Pizza hut, work nut quite so well with those.
Am in court in August ! |

Keep al your junk mail and then post it back to your junk mailers, so the pizza place gets the loft insulation crap, the double glazing people get the pizza crap etc. Don't put a stamp on - they'll end up paying postage at their end and have to collect it all from the post office.
Also with automated cold calling just press hash repeatedly ancd hang up - it fusk's up the system |
