I see enough of stonehenge using the A303 , doesnt matter when I go past there are always stone spotters out. I dont see the attraction myself but as the saying goes 'each to their own' . |

There's a lovely stone circle just 4 or 5 miles from me, on private land (the farmer kindly allows folk to visit so long as it's not abused), I've spent summer solstice there a couple of times in the past....would love to have solstice at Stonehenge, but need Funky's time machine as I reckon too commercialised nowadays |

I'd like to go one day to see it.but I can't see why the so called druids go.the only connection they have with stonehenge is one in there heads.each culture was thousands of years apart. |

Used to go to Castlerigg stone circle in Cumbria every year, sometimes even saw the sun rise - albeit often through a haze of imbibed substances..
Local police were there in their version of force - three coppers sat in a van at the end of the lane!
Haven't done it for well over a decade now, doubt it would be the same but i really should see the sunrise on the longest day once again. |
