Maybe, just maybe some people connect better with a particular age group?

We’ve kept our age preferences within 10 yrs of our own either way, they’re not set in stone but we feel we’d have more in common with similar aged people.

Plus we have a rule where people need to be closer to our age than to our childrens ages or our parents ages.

?

It's a nice round number

For me, my age range preference is set around my own age, mainly because I feel that I will have more in common with people around my own age...conversation will be a bit stunted if a 20 year old starts talking to me about modern music and Snapchat filters because I have no interest in those things (and yes, I'm generalising to make a point). But, most single ladies on here get an awful lot of messages, so one way to cut down on some inbox traffic is to set a fairly narrow age range of people that can contact you.

I have met people outside of my preferred age range, but only when they've caught my eye and I've initiated contact.

My dad is 39 this year. I’m already fucking men way older than him. Best not fuck men that are the same age as my grandad

It's a preference. I'm the wrong side of 45 for many people and i just accept it.

However it's a little odd when someone posts about the site being full of old people over 30

Why would you have sex with an 18 year old but not a 70 year old?

People can have preferences, don't question it and move on.

Nobody owes you sex.
