What's the highest number a forum thread can get to?
I know 175 is the usual maximum, but how does that work? Is it some kind of automatic cut out?
Yet NSP's "I Want Sex" thread just got to 177 replies. Did they come in too quickly for the system to cope with?
What's the highest it could theoretically go to?
Do I have too much time on my hands? ![](/icons/s/razz.gif) |

Hi,
Say you open a reply box and you are typing your reply before the thread closes, well it can get to 175 ( highest ) but then you send your reply and it gets plonked on the end.
It's cos you had the reply box open before the thread closed.
Sometimes people used to wait ..... so they could be the last to post
Think I'll start one. |

At some point admin will step in and give everyone a rollicking but it can go double or even triple the limit if people are determined enough/have a death wish |

Would take some organising but get a group off people to open a reply box in a tab then watch the thread till it close then all just reply and done
Or you could spam multiple tabs open off a reply box and do it all ur self |

"Any number as long as ur reply box is still open basically
Reply Box...... now there's a euphemism"
Only problem would be is brake fabs server for a little while as once you hit the 1 and 0 cap the server going to blink out as it dose not know what to do with it or in less fab has a fail safe put in like a hard limiter so the minute that hard limit is reached all other vaules are binned |
