Or indeed a part within this world. I love all the arts..didn t used until 3 years ago I found my true self. I love ballet, to go suited and booted as one should, as a mark of respect for these athletes..I love the beauty of it, I love the movement and the watching of just what the human body can do. Im kind of mixed up in the arts, a contemporary dancer, covid alas wiped out my chance to perform for the public. I write and choreograph but only on an amateur basis. What do you love or do concerning the arts? |

Ballet has been my big love since I started at age 2. It was also my worst enemy during puberty. I love all types of dance, especially traditional from all over the world although not keen on Morris dancers.
Also adore architecture as a form of art. City trips really do it for me as I can wonder at the buildings and read their history. It breaks my heart to see what’s happening to New York atm as it’s a beautiful city to walk around. |

I always visit a museum/gallery in any city I visit. I love the quiet serene beauty they hold. Breathes life into me.
I also saw Swan Lake performed as a contemporary ballet once. That has stuck with me ever since. Was a magnificent performance.
Need to get back to it once restrictions lifted. |

Why worst enemy? I love dance the same...African is a sight to behold..pure rhythm. I ve seen many a fine city in this world..those places that stop you in your tracks, such as Florence but I also love the daily hub bub of places such as Khatmandhu..almost a theatre in itself..the worlds a stage and we all play our part |

My Daughter started Ballet at the age of 3 years , and I took her to everyone . At first I was very much the out of place Dad , but of course I loved her so it wasent a problem ..Then bit by bit I to fell in love with Ballet , My Daughter ( now 19 ) has attended examinations at RADA in London up to Grade 7s or 8s , she made it on to “ pointe “ one of her dreams , Sadly she never received a distinction at examination always just missing out by a few small marks , the slightest wrong foot position perhaps ..
However I am so proud of her regardless , She may never be a Ballerina now , but the Ballet legacy lives on in her other great love “ Musical Production “ ..
When she was about 8 years old , my daughter didn’t want to do ballet anymore , instead wanting to concentrate on other forms of dance . Her then dance teacher refused to let her drop it , stating that “ ballet was the foundation of all dance “ .. how very true this is ..
We still though love the Ballet ,, More people , especially men should appreciate the hard work and dedication that go into it ... it’s a beautiful art to watch

Oh wow...well done your daughter and you..many men would do the pick ups and drop offs but not necessarily sit through a performance. It is a pity it still holds a predominantly female attachment, admittedly amongst men mainly. It is a dedication and a hard discipline and the price for such beauty is often high. That is why I always suit and boot for a performance..it is my way of showing respect, alas when I saw Swan Lake there were many in t shirts and casuals. For me its nothing to do with trying to be posh or upmarket...it is the audience making an effort, going out of their way as the performers have to give us that beauty. Enjoy |

Went to my first ballet about 20 years ago, and loved it. I am always awestruck when I watch and my “bucket list” lists watching a performance by the Royal Ballet |

As you know OP I love dance, used to dance, ballet, modern and tap. I also did a lot of Welsh folk dancing too. Bust my knee so couldn't partake anymore. However, I still do some commercial/burlesque style classes now. And I love watching any form of dancing.
But it's paintings and sculptures I can now spend hours looking at. I can barely draw a square so it's not something I can do. But I love wondering around a gallery. |

My Father is a big time opera fan and used to have to drag me along as my step mother refuses to go. I now love getting dressed up and taking the old man.
Sometimes go to the ballet as well.
I cherish the memories with him as he utterly loves it.
Can’t wait to take him again. |
