i used to have this problem, my mind wouldn't shut down with constant overthinking, i started listening to guided meditation in bed, but i suppose a good audiobook could have the same effect, there's no harm in giving it a try  |

id only get 1 or 2 hours sleep a night for 3 months, sedatives didnt work, the guided meditation was the only thing that let me sleep, i think it was just that i had another voice to listen to that was calming. after a few nights listening i began sleeping before the CD had finished. |

MacD's got into this town 9 months ago after 4 attempts, though they've 2 outlets in nearby Leamington. Burger King exists somewhere in the area, but KFC fouled up with the local Councils big time a few years ago and got kicked out plus told never to return.

Odd as it may sound, but when I want to get to sleep, I use a trick a GP once suggested; I talk out to myself, as if having a one sided conversation but I don't respond.
I work full time Nights, so sleep in the daytime, with a blackout blind to block out the daylight, + ear plugs, thus dropping off to sleep can often be problematic.
But that suggestion works for me! |
