House for meets???

Jump to: Newest in thread

Mike and I have a few rental properties but we have been considering a new venture and wanted to see if there might be any interest. When we first met (on fab) we had to book into hotels so that we could get our happy on and we always wished for an environment where meeting wouldn’t be such a gamble..is it clean, embarrassment of leaving earlier than check out etc. So the question is would anyone think they’d use a house which hired rooms out for meets either on a half or full day basis. They’d be clean, well stocked and a non judgmental, anonymous environment?

Thanks for taking the time to reply, even if it’s to tell us that you hate the idea

The Town by The Cross

Depends.

Would I be the sole occupier or just using a room ?

If others are occupying a room in the house at the same time as me is there someone there like a receptionist/bouncer ......

Starting to feel a bit risky and a bit brothel like.....

If it's just me and mine at the house then yeah ......

Fantastic idea.i thought of a project a few years back. Open a basic room hotel in liverpool where you could rent rooms by the hour (orlonger). Downside was the cleaning.

Thanks. You’ve made some excellent points for us to consider. We’d be looking at having a couple of rooms to rent, like a b&b but without the usual hotel restrictions. Security, safety and levels of comfort of our users would of course be paramount so we’d need to really look at how we could do that x

I wouldn't use one. The neighbours will see people coming and going and possibly assume it was a brothel. A stranger's house may have hidden cameras. Videos and pics on here get sold to porn sites...

I don’t think hotel restrictions and security / safety are mutually exclusive. When you run a business you have to manage risks, the first thing is being 100% clear what service it is you are providing. There are dayrooms, apartments and AirBnB already - how is it different ?

Definitely not a club type environment. This would be for people to have their own private space. Small and intimate and not rooms next to each other and lockable rooms as you would have in a hotel.

We would be looking for a discreet setting rather than in the middle of a housing estate etc

In some respects it wouldn’t be different but we would be looking at a discreet external environment. A level of luxury and services exclusively for swingers. Thanks for your feedback x

There and to the left a bit

I'm struggling to see what the differentiator between this and a hotel is and I'm not sure there *are* any of the restrictions you suggest with a hotel.

With things like TripAdvisor you can get a fair idea of the likely cleanliness, the chains generally have a standard associated with them anyway - and there are Day Room sites that allow you to book for reduced periods of time.

Discretion isn't an issue at a hotel either, most busy ones have so many people coming and going they don't register individual people.

In fact given the choice of a hotel or what you are suggesting OP I'd go for a hotel every time - not dissing your idea, just the more I've thought about it the more I don't really see the difference apart from your establishment having a "swingers" association.

Sorry, I was replying lightheartedly but I did appreciated your question because of course it’s important to consider these things. We both run several successful businesses and house rentals is just a part of that. I’ve likened it to that I suppose because we’d be looking at purchasing a new house. We both take a great pride in providing excellent customer service and health and safety is the first thing which informs all of our businesses.

Thanks for your feedback . We’ve always had to provide all of our information to every hotel we’ve stayed in and had to be careful which email address we register with due to having admin staff who access our emails for work purposes. Not a great issue I grant you but has caused some panicked trips back to the office once or twice when we’ve used autofill by mistake lol. Otherwise I suppose it’d be a matter of preference x

Are you suggesting then that you wouldn't expect guests visiting your establishment to provide any information? Sorry but that would be another reason I'd prefer a hotel myself, again no disrespect, but guests providing that information is to an extent for my protection as the establishment concerned

The right place

Day use hotel rooms are a thing. It’s not embarrassing and most hotels are very clean.

No of course not, you would just be assured of our discreetness and wouldn’t have any unnecessary communications sent to you. Doesn’t matter how many times you tick the ‘please do not contact me’ box from most hotels we’ve still received unwanted correspondence. We’d follow all data protection rules as well, which we’re already used to complying with in our other businesses. I really do appreciate you asking these questions as it’s helping us to discuss our thought process further.

They’re not available in our area, in decent hotels though. Maybe in a few of the lower end? but we wouldn’t go to those. You’re right it’s not embarrassing for everyone but some people feel more self conscious than others.

Wonder why "love hotels " like in Japan aren't popular here. Totally anonymous pay by the hour via virtual assistant check in with your credit card. Optional food access etc. Works in Japan why not here?

If we were to use this facility we would not wish other people renting rooms at same time, it’s a security issue with someone possibly going through our things. That’s our only issue.

this sounds alot like the "kinky cottage " that existed in west yorks for a short time around 2010 . excellent b&b out on the penine moors came with fully equiped dungeon and all the kit to let go and enjoy yourself.ran succesfully for around eighteen months with no issues untill a new neighbour worked out what was going on and reported to vatious local planning bodies etc. they came back no issues all legal and above boardfire and saftey regs all being complied with no reason for councill to get involved . nosey neighbours next act was to goto the local rag with a titilating tail of the commings and goings at the b&b paper didnt hesitate to write a front page story seneationalising the sordid goings on . and that was that b&b closed . and one suspects that would be your fate should anybody find out or a disgruntaled customer decides to get revenge
