The right place

Do you ever re read the profile text of someone you’ve met and think that it gives a good impression or a poor impression of the person you met? (That could be either way, they were better in reality or not as you imagined).

Manchester (she/her)

Yes. Quite often it's more indicative of their psyche than how I perceive them

No. To me the profile is just the person’s personal marketing pitch to entice, so if I’ve met them it’s served its purpose

I barely read it before I've met them let alone after! I don't get the point of reading it after?

I love people who ask for profile advice, then after recieving loads of good tips, do absolutely nothing, then ask the same question a couple of months later

I do but the contents of my inbox regularly proves that a lot of people don't.

Heathrow

Always read it after, especially if a Veri has been asked for.

Sometimes the profile seems complete rubbish, other times they’ve undersold.

The Veri matches my experience.

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

I usually read the text BEFORE I meet people

The impression the profile portrays is WHY I meet them

surrounded by twinkly lights

I prefer to read the veris that they have given as more of an insight, how they speak about other people gives me an idea of their personality before we meet

Once we have moved onto other platforms I generally don't check their profile on here as friends list shows up their pic updates

Since I'm quite put off by long winded profiles and prefer to get the measure of someone by chatting/meeting, then this isn't really applicable
