....do you?
Do you think and overthink about every little thing you post on here incase it is taken the wrong way or twisted somehow or added up to something that makes absolutely no sense? |

Nah. There’ll always be at least one who takes it the wrong way. To be honest I don’t say much anymore anyway. I used to but I just tend to join the fun threads now. Naughty step is wondering where the fuck I’ve gone! |

Never give posting a second thought.
Every little thing I post is magic
Everything I do just turns folk on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my forum posts goes on |

We try our best not to offend in what we say and nothing we say is said with malice. But I don't think we tiptoe around anything we say either if someone doesn't like it then the person in question will have to deal with it. Not everyone is going to like what we have to say nor will we try and make them. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
"No why be false say it how you see it if people don't like its their problem not yours. "
It's not about being false, just aboit being aware (or hyperaware sometimes) of how what you're saying might be taken by others. Text is after all not always the easiest way to get a point across. |

I do consider some of more personal jokey type things I post beforehand and reword so I’m almost certain it won’t offend.
I think everyone should be mindful of others when they post things.
Of course everyone is free to post whatever they like and this is merely my opinion |

Yeah it’s a daily thing where I type something, think it’ll be taken the wrong way then delete it, comes with being a cheeky little shit most of the time but with an ability to behave |

"no i just say whats on my mind, however it might come across, best to be honest and forward"
I used to be like this, but after 3 forum bans over 10 years I put a little more thought into what I say now |

Nope! I tend not to get on very well with my serious thoughts and voices in my head. They're boring. I much prefer the funny thoughts and voices. They're a great laugh |

I think it's a shame when people have to overanalyze on case it causes offense. I think people could be better at asking people to clarify something. Or message on the forum to see if any harm was meant. |

yes, many times i want to comment on a thread, carefully think about to put, start typing, making sure i phrase it correctly using the most suitable words so it cant be misunderstood, but then realise ive rambled off topic, so close the thread without commenting
(yes i did consider not posting this comment) |

"To be controversial means you have to offend"
Not necessarily. I could be posting about me waiting 27th in line to bareback gangbang a lady on here. It would cause great forum controversy but it's not wholly offensive. |

Things you post on here could be misconstrued by anyone. Just like forumites likes and dislikes. Always better to talk in person. I should practice what I preach. |

I don't think it's false to try to be as unambiguous as possible with your communication. Sometimes thoughtless or clumsy phrasing can cause a problem... If a moments thought can avoid it, why not.? |

I have a phrase "many people get different meanings, from the same words". With that in mind, I playoff many interpretations, before sending. Took my near an hour to write this |

Nothing I post makes much sense. I find it easier that way. |

I've veered towards using ambiguous clumsy phrasing. People will miscontrue text on a screen, some will get it. Hey ho. |

This really....
I used to think too much about what others might think but that's something I don't know so it's pretty pointless thinking about because I'd be thinking and worrying about something I know nothing about. I just try my best to make sure I'm polite and try not to offend if possible. A useful trick I employ occasionally when in doubt would be to think about what my real life friends would say about what I type here....
That said I did really struggle in a thread this morning when I wanted to talk about something related to race and felt I'd likely get shut down or misread, so I just shut up and that made me a bit ..... |

There and to the left a bit |
Anything I post is off the cuff and from the heart and what I say is what I mean - I do always try and provide balance and reasoning with the things I post on more serious subject, but I do that naturally in life too.
Occasionally I may get half way through a reply to a post and give up, either because I realise I'm rambling off tangent or because it's not worth the likely backlash.
I do think responsibility for how a post is interpreted is twofold though - both with the poster *and* anyone that reads it - all too often a well intended comment or one that just happens to be a different opinion is taken the wrong way completely when with a little thought its intent is obviously not contentious or attacking |

If I'm in a bad mood my reaction to anything will be different to a good day. |

A lot of the time it depends on the thread poster too, and who's already commented.
There are people who know me and know how to take what I'm writing and literally read it in my voice, and those who don't.
I don't mean to offend people so have to keep some shit in check. If I called you a daft cunt OP I believe you'd take it how it was meant, whereas someone else who isn't that clued up on my nuances shall we say may get stung by the same thing |

Nah. I say what I want and believe I'm hard to misconstrue. Though my intent will never be harsh. I'll occasionally delete a potential post if I know I don't have time to commit to it and it's a big one. |

I've adapted my language yes.
The forums are subject to discourse, those looking for arguments, those that didn't get the context of your comment and those who completely missed the funniest ever joke that I just made...in my head.
I guess sometimes you will be the only one to understand what you truly intended to say?
For what its worth, can't recall yiu saying anything mean ever?

I tend to say what's on my mind, if I offend someone then so be it, I cannot and will not sugarcoat it. I'm fine with who I am and I dont care what people who dont know me think about me, words on an internet forum cannot hurt me and I think people need to stop worrying that something they said will offend somebody, I can guarantee that having any sort of opinion will offend somebody out there but their feelings aren't one of the things I will lose sleep about |

It's hard on here as there is no tone of the voice or facial expressions to guage what is being said. So I take that if I post something try and make my point clear and if it isn't not to be offended if I get called up on it. |
