hi all.looking for any advice really, thanks to the lovely covid our original plans of going in september to vera in spain have been cancelled, then started to look at cap d'agde but obviously france has now been put on the naughty step thanks to covid, so now its a choice between croatia and rhodes. croatia looks stunning never even thought of going let alone been. we are looking at Solaris naturist resort(apartments not camping). has anyone been there and able to give any impartial advice??? rhodes would be the Angel naturist resort. not sure to book either and hope to have some nakedness or just say not this Yr and try to find somewhere in September in the UK which again unsure as to where to go. been to acorns camping before but that about it in UK. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated |

Croatia really is a beautiful country. I wouldn't hesitate to go again. I don't know anything about the resort in question, but the country as a whole is pretty relaxed about nudism. Went for a hike along the coast by the hotel, and there were quite a few people sunbathing naked on the rocks. |

Croatia is great and under normal circumstances (no idea currently) if you're in the right part of Croatia you can do a day trip to Venice by boat which is great if you've not been before.
No idea about swinging but there was a big nudist beach close to where I stayed but of course that doesn't mean swinging goes on |

I've travelled quite extensively around Croatia and love it there, it's a beautiful country and the people are great. Dubrovnik is stunning and there's plenty to do there, as well as trips you can take into Bosnia and Montenegro (be ready for some twitchy border guard moments into Bosnia when they take your passport off you). Split is also good, it's a bit more commercialised than Dubrovnik but still has a historic city centre and good nightlife and beaches.
I had a week in Knin while I was over there with the military last year as well, it's got an amazing castle up on the mountain but the town itself is I guess the 'real' Croatia away from the tourist spots, a bit run down and still a lot of obvious scarring from the intense fighting around there in the mid 90's, but full of friendly people and some good bars.
No idea on the swinging side of it but there seemed to be plenty of people going naked on the rocks around the coast when I took a sea taxi from the Babin Kuk to Dubrovnik old town |

Just go, you won't be disappointed. Cheap regular busses, ferries plentiful between islands. The food is good as well, sounds daft, but the tomato soup which is on most menus is real nice.
You cannot go topless on most popular beaches and it is heavily policed, but there are loads of secluded spots you could find that I doubt would see another person all day.
Love the place. |

Rovinj, that's where I was. It's quite an italianised area due to it's proximity, i had some incredible Croat/Italian food there and the wines are exquisite. Also did a day trip into Slovenia to a place called Lake Bled, which is breathtaking. |
