It's a funny little saying broad meanings. Like, as a rule of thumb, when going to a party, take a small gift.
As I see a lot of threads on "older women" and things like this, it reminded me of a bit of advice I was given with regards to dating and relationships, the rule of thumb. It goes like this - If you are going with someone older, don't go higher than double your age minus 7. If you are going with someone younger, don't go lower than half your age plus 7. This works for men and women, apparently. So that gives me an age range of 24-59 (if my maths is correct)
I understand this is probably really crappy advice, and as for me, I tend to believe age is just a number as I think maturity doesn't have a lot to do with age. But as a general rule of thumb, thinks this works quite well.
What does everyone else think? How do you decide on age limits or ranges? Is there a reason for your preference? |

Anything below my age preference, kind of felt a bit creepy.
Its bad enough having a profile on here, let alone without being a dirty old man. That's everyone over 40 on here BTW |

Yes, I get that totally, but there seems to be a lot of people really seem to like "older" or "younger" and this can be for both men and women. I get each to their own and all that. |

"It would be interesting if fab automatically set this for you when you put in your birthday and didn't let you change it "
Now that would be interesting |

"That makes my range 32 to 95
Well there you are, again, that would put me in your range..
This is maybe going to work as a good angle for me
it could have its advantages "
The good old rule of thumb |
