Ooh I used to love watching that.

Loved Charisma, played by Mark Arden. What a bad boy.

Nick, the station officer was a bit of a dish too.

I spotted them on UKTV and think I may have to binge watch them at some point. It may be a while before I start though, I’ve just started binge watching The Bill

. Gary McDonald starred in London’s Burning the movie in 1986 the film partly based around the Tottenham Broadwater Farm riots in the 1980’s I think this was the pilot film that led to the series.Gary’s character was killed of in the film where some bricks are dropped on him from a great height as he is trying to stop the rioting.Another actor who played in the series was Glen Murphy who was into boxing in real life he fought future world champion Dennis Andris as a amateur

It’s very dated now, I watched a couple of seasons a few months ago. But for its time it was a great series.

in Lancashire

Every character in the initial series was loosely based upon actual guys serving at the time..

The producers leant heavily on the guy advising them at the time, fair play the actor's did spend time at Southwark with various trainee squads..

Vaseline was who I was thinking of when I said Charisma was the character I loved.

Vaseline, so called because he was slippery. Charisma,so called because he had none.

I remember now.
