So I was chatting to a guy on here this morning who complained that he was often blocked after sending a face pic. Not surprising I told him as it’s really bad...
Tips please forumites on how to take sexy face pics.  |

Video yourself then take screenshots of the angles you like best, this way you aren’t concentrating too much on waiting for the camera to click etc |

I also have a resting bitch face. But my facial expression changes a lot very rapidly. I think that's why I do exponentially better in the cam chat rooms than I do via messaging/forums. Although ironically if I used stills from my webcam as profile pics it'd be even more futile! |

Thing is, the only time men can get away with that is if we're musicians having our picture taken for a press shot or something. When it comes to stuff like dating sites etc, if a bloke looks moody, it can convey the wrong type of danger. There's a site called photofeeler that allows you to upload your photos for review by other site members - I recommend people check it out. It had plenty of useful insights on where you might be going wrong or why your favourite headshot isn't winning anyone over. It's helpful. |

This is a good idea! It's what I do before I take any photos and my mugshots are generally okay. I'm not good at the whole pout and tilt my head thing but I think looking directly at the camera, having a clear background and feeling good about yourself all helps. |

I do some of my ‘Stills’ taken from video. Straight selfies usually end up as a pile on the cutting room floor  I just can’t get close up selfies right. - even on timer  |

- Put aside some time to do it. Candid shots don’t work.
- Make sure you’re mentally in a place to cope with being reminded of what you really look like.
- Be prepared to take a three-figure number of photos.
- Be prepared to delete every single last one of them.
- Accept that some days you won’t be able to get a good photo no matter how many hundreds of takes you put yourself through.
