Yes, kids party, my sons friends birthday party and as soon as I walked in I seen his mum and congratulated her on being pregnant.

She of course wasn’t and I spent the next two hours avoiding eye contact with her and her friends, who all looked at me with disdain

Along similar lines, my then partner and I were told to think very carefully about having children at the same time we were told about a serious, and inherited, genetic condition in his immediate family which had only just been properly diagnosed.

I was sat there thirty weeks pregnant at the time

I am soooo careful about this, always feel rude when I'm not acknowledging a clearly about to pop belly until they do but I'm not risking it either!

I was congratulated on being pregnant.

I wasn't pregnant. I'm just overweight.

Mr thought it was hilarious.

I've been asked twice.

I was being dropped off at the maternity part of the hospital the first time and I was overweight so I don't blame the guy the second time was a few weeks after I had my daughter and a family member asked if I was expecting as my stomach wasn't flat

I never say anything to anyone unless I'm 100% certain.
