Ive had times when people fab one pic, then a week later another, and then another later still. Not sure if it’s a way to increase chances of me noticing the fab..? Or they go back and like another one..?

Indeed. If I like a pic I'll fab it, if I don't like a pic I won't fab it. If that means I end up fabbing all 250 of their photos then so be it!

Sometimes I go a bit fab crazy but mostly I'll fab the pics that catch my attention and really stand out however many that is! I do try to stretch the fabbing of a profile out over time though!
