So the other day whilst on a car journey with the kids, we were having our usual telling jokes session. My eldest has nailed the dad jokes already.

Now as I've admitted here I'm a bit literal sometimes. So as the what is black and white and read all was being explained to the boys. It suddenly dawned on me it was read not red. I've spent most my life knowing this joke but I genuinely thought it meant red as the newspaper my uncles read had their name in red!!!

So my question is what is it that should be common knowledge, did you not find out until later in life?

There is an arrow on the fuel gauge in the car which tells you which side the petrol cap is on
