I just read this:
“Our DNA differs from that of chimps and bonobos by roughly 1.6 percent, making us closer to them than a dog is to a fox, a white-handed gibbon to a white-cheeked crested gibbon, an Indian elephant to an African elephant.”
In what way are you most like a chimpanzee? |

Bonobo’s have sex to say hello, goodbye and pretty much all the time

There and to the left a bit |
There's a scientific argument that although Chimps and Bonobos are genetically closer to humans...that Orangutans are physically closer..either way there's no denying our links to apes...
...and the apes are certainly my favourite species to watch and observe on trips to the zoo
As for personal similarities all of the apes are very nurturing and caring for those they are close to...so I'm going for that |

Apparently Bonobos are capable of altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, and live in more more egalitarian, female led societies.
Chimpanzees on the other hand are much more aggressive, hierarchical male dominated social groups that commonly commit murder, sexual assault and acts of war. |
