What makes you feel alive?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Wild swimming is one of my very favourite things to do. I love the feeling when you first plunge into the cold water, the way your body tingles afterwards and how alive it makes me feel. Even better if I'm naked!
Who loves it? Hates it? Why?
What makes you feel alive?
Mrs (I know, hating the name change, I keep wanting to sign off Mrs TMN, can't wait until I can change back!) x |

I really enjoy wild swimming, haven't been for some time, also jumping off bridges and or cliffs into rivers, what a rush. I can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie
I quite like the new name, I'm going to change mine at some point in near future |

Ah, see I'm not really in it for the adrenaline hit, it's more the sensory stimulation I think Jumping in always looks fun but my legs go all wobbly once I get up there! |

Solving a problem creatively. You remember on The A Team when they used to say “Hannibal was on the jazz”, like on some higher level where your brain throws off convention and just soars? It’s that |

After riding my motorbike, running. There’s no better feeling than being able to run long distances, once you’ve got the initial miles in.
I have plenty of great memories of races and training runs and once the weather cools down I’ll be out again.

I (MR) love naked wild swimming for same reason, Mrs isn’t a fan. The burning and adrenaline when you get out makes you feel alive. It’s a similar buzz to full contact and other naughty things were too old to do now. |

"Theme parks for me, I try and go at least 4 times a year for a long weekend away"
Love the big roller coasters , I’m told the international roller coaster clubs sometimes organise naked sessions too |

Sitting on a hillside or beach with my wonderful wife snuggling in . Taking in the scenery or sea view and she squeezes in, looks at me and tells me she loves me.. And not wanting anything in return . A truly magical moment . |

Stretched out on the lawn, on a really clear night and immersing myself in the stars, planets, comets...and thinking, despite what we have all had to endure this year, how very blessed we are to be such a tiny part of a truly amazing universe!! |

I love an ice rub down, or icy shower after a sauna for the same sort of experience. It wakes my senses.
To know and feel truly alive though requires more than that for me - I'm an adrenalin junkie |

Ah I see, jumping off stuff is for my adrenaline fix, the wild swimming is more a preference to swimming in a pool for me, and also a way to cool down after all the grafting that's done while gold panning |

I was wondering who this Jiggery Pokery was before I opened the thread.
Running (when I can be arsed to) makes me feel alive. It's that feeling of pushing myself and really feeling my body, I get such a huge adrenaline run from it and it feels like all my senses are heightened and aware.
Playing the violin does as well. I can sort of escape for a bit but I'm still aware of my body, of the natural rhythm of my breathing, my body in general. |

Riding my motorbikes, it's the best feeling ever.
I ride them on road, off road and race them. Racing is the best bit, been doing it over 30 years and I'm still good at it. It keeps me fit young and happy. I understand it might kill me one day. |

I hate water after falling in the canal as a small child and nearly drowning, can still taste that filthy water in my mouth if I think about it. My thing is dancing. A mix of ballet and contemporary, can simply lose myself in the music for hours |
