If you take a preterist view it was a subversive criticism of the Imperial Roman Empire and a prediction of its fall. But the imagery is very trippy, I agree.

Which as we now know was a mistranslation. It should have been 9.99. Suspiciously coincided with the earliest example of Sofa World weekend discount
