I am, and I had to rescue a big one yesterday .

I’m also scared of moths, I’m not keen on other bugs, but not actually scared.

I love spiders although not the poisonous ones. I would never kill a spider. My house is quite old and i get big ones appearing usually around September. They are always welcome as long as they do not wish to share my bed.

I’m a lot more brave when it comes to spiders as long as they’re not walking over me (yes I had one once crawl over my face whilst I was half asleep)

It’s bees/wasps that I’m petrified of, even the buzzing sets my pulses on overdrive and I’m running around like a headless chicken.

My phobia with them only got worse after I got stung by one a Few years ago

Spiders don't bother me. I'm happy to leave them be or scoop them up and put them outside if someone asks me to.

Wasps on the other hand have me running for the hills. Just their buzzing alone scares me to death.

Oh and those big flappy moths that always want to dive-bomb your face. I can't stand them.

On a mooch

I don’t mind them, I have a few that I let live in the house to help my lad with his fear.... he’s even named them now but if any new ones come along he freaks again.

Normally I pop a glass or Tupperware box over them, let them get a bit droopy then I’ll put them outside. I’ve only had to hoover up one in my time but he was as big as my palm and no way was I going to try to catch him or let him stay where he was.

Other insects, has to be wasps and flies horrible things. Bees I love to watch

I’m really arachnophobic, can’t settle if one is on the house and totally freak out if one runs towards me I also try to avoid those crazy big moths that dive bomb you if they get in the house and I definitely will not go outside if flying ants are out, that stems back from a childhood incident, really hate those flying fuckers

I'll raise you idly grooming your long haired cat as it's sat next to you while you watch TV... so, usually burrs and grass seeds etc ... and realising too late that the stubborn bit of something you've been picking away at for the last five minutes was actually a slug that's now mashed up under your fingernails!

"who amongst us is scared of spiders?

I am terrified of spiders but I also have a phobia of butterflies and moths.

Running or walking during this time of year kills me when butterflies suddenly dive bomb me from the hedges or flowers.

I know they won't harm me, and I know they are pretty and delicate but their random scatty flight path frightens me and I am scared that they will land on my mouth....beyond that I haven't given it much thought because that's as far as my fear goes. I think my heart stops beating or something lol

Moths are night time butterflies and I fear them when they come into my house. The irrational fear is unbelievable, to get away from them I would probably put my kids in it's way to protect me

My family and my boyfriend want me to seek help for my phobias as I am such an outdoors person.

Her x

Hate spiders. I do a spider check every time i go to bed.

And (i’m about to have a rant) why is it that out of all the rooms in our house, the biggest spiders are found in my bedroom?! Everybody else has their window WIDE open and there’s me, middle of a heatwave and it’s open just a crack, and where does Dave the big ole spider appear? That’s right, my bedroom!

I’ve now turned to essential oils to keep the fuckers away.
