My mate is mates with Ricky tommo and he was good for brooky at the time.

One character who had edge was Tommy McArdle ,they filmed in the 80's in Chester above Jack Sharps on Frodsham St where there was a wine bar and it was funny seeing characters you knew in a place that was round the corner from my school ..

Good old Tommy .. he would pay you a visit with Vic and it was never a good one

Was there a regional schedule difference, wether saturday or sunday, yes it was great, a whole 2 hours or so of soaplands finest.

Anyone know whats days and time it was on during the week?

Loved it.

Except the bit when Jimmy and Jackie Corkhill’s cat was machine-gunned in the bay window during a drug dealing feud drive-by shooting.

I’m still traumatised

Yeah. I watched Eastenders during the week, then Brooky on the weekend. Haven't watched soaps regularly the last 10 years or so.

Yeah, it's a difficult balancing act. It's happened to Eastenders, been shit for 10 years.

There was some great humour at times in brookie...

The thug Tommy mcardle became a minor hit amongst parents telling their kids if "you dont behave I'll set tommy mcardle on you".

Two actresses that always caught my eye was the one from northern ireland and the blonde who played the sister in (I can't use the I word here) sibling themed love story.

Always thought youd see more of Barry grant on tv after but apart from the bill not in much...

Brookside ended up going down the drugs violence route when it ended , they'd be still there now if you tried keeping it true to life..

Read the echo and dramatise it is a horrible dark image so the cheeky chappy early brookside with social issues that weren't extreme was watchable
