I have a couple on my profile, I think it's just the mood I'm in at the time or of the lighting isn't great for full colour.

Not every time obviously but it does transform some pics. The best pics are those that leave something to the imagination like nippy said

I always change all of mine to B&W just to see how they look. I find it more flattering for myself.

I like both, depending on the photo. I like seeing the texture of people's skin which you loose with black and white or too many filters. Plus it's not uncommon for people to ask to see the colour version of a picture, if my hair is in it.
