A lot will look at a profile in stealth mode before deciding whether to reply. I just did this with your profile OP, I won't show on your who's looked at me. Also by replying no thanks politely, this potentially opens up the why not and or abuse. Hope this answers your question. |

I seldom message anyone first but as it happens I’ve just sent off a piece of literary genius to a forum lady I think would be very interesting to know.

Oh dear, it seems in my meticulous preparation of said message that the lady of my desire has gone off line.
In my favour though she has viewed my profile in the last 10 minutes so I’m still reasonably hopeful. |

Depends on who the messages are from or who we are sending them to. To friends we always get a reply. If cold messaging we get roughly a reply to 1 in 3 messages sent.
We always reply to messages unless they are rude or the person has been rold a number of times we are not interested in which case we tend to block. |

You can put elephant in the message if you wish but no dont bother playing those games. However, if you had read the profile you would know we are not looking for single guys. |

I dont msg 10 a day but probably 6/10 reply on average
Probably the same msging back
I do try reply to as many as I can x
I take no offense is someone dosnt msg back thou
We all like different shapes and sizes xx

If i sent 10 in a week maybeeee 1 reply if its a good week.. But like most sites ladies get flooded sooo it's to be expected.. This is my excuse and I'm sticking to it  |

Quite simply men outnumber women.
So it be successful you have have a profile that stands out from the pack.
Photos, Profile content all inclusive.
Its amazing to see some men on here bemoan that nobody responds to them when their profile content is a line and a half that basically says 'Hi, I'm genuine and looking for a shag.'
Per every 100 messages I send to females and couples I'd get maybe 8-15 replies. Most of them are a polite no thanks.
I strike a genuine connection with a female/couple once every couple of months.

but when you get over 50 a day, writing no thanks becomes increasingly tiring and makes you jaded... plus some men give you proper abuse for saying no thanks or they pester you constantly because you replied |

some of the messages we get from guys are laughable, and to the men on here, you wouldnt believe it, but its true .im horney, of fancy a fuck etc, dont know why they think thats going to work, but we always reply, even if its a no thanks |

we probably get similar, if we arent interested we say no thanks then block, there is no excuse for ignoring, if you say no atleast they know where they stand, and if you block them its all over |

To be fair when we get messages with no punctuation, ones we have to read a few times before we can understand it, we tend not to reply.
On a more serious note, we tend to get about a 50% response rate to messages we send. We understand we aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and despite reading profiles we’re human and get it wrong sometimes.
We do reply to all the messages we receive that deserve a reply though, even if it’s a polite no thanks.
I guess the way to look at it is this, would you reply to yourself? |

On any where the receiver reads and deletes I put a note on to remind me they aren't interested and move on. The ones that are opened and not deleted I'll leave where they are so if I go to message again then that'll be my reminder and hope lives eternal that they read, we're busy and we'll come back in a bit. |

And there lies the problem... People not reading profiles or worse ignoring them and messaging anyway. I read profiles before deciding whether to message back. |

The word no is not universally understood here. Answering messages to be polite can lead to why not or abuse, hence why quite a few of us choose to not respond. As the faq section states, no rely, no interest, it's not considered rude not to reply. |

I can go days without responding (I’m one of the read and delete people- politely responding with no thank you ended up with verbal abuse in the past). Then some days I may respond to two or three people. So maybe 1/150-200 messages get a response.
There’s various reasons, from the topic of their message (immediate face pic request, just dick pics and hi, or requests to meet immediately are straight deletes), to me not being physically attracted to them, to reading something on their profile that leads me to believe we are incompatible.
Honestly, I don’t think too much into it. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and vice verse. |

I pretty much never get a response (not including forum messages, obviously).
I apriciate the polite decline messages, and would never abuse / argue.
I get that ladies often don't get time out have the desire to respond at all, in that case I have to say I prefer to see the message deleted. At least that way I know the message has been read and rejected.
Leaving them read or just unopened isn't as clear as to whether or not a message was received or just fell off the bottom of the stack...  |

Unfortunately Males out number Women so the message ratio will uneven. I think I probably get 2/10 replies. But i try to make an effort with someone and if I like something particular about them i will discuss it/mention it.
Also it’s a shame some Males send silly messages which ruin it for the genuine, good guys! |

From the last 10 women messaged over a 1 month period. Non sexual messages and not requesting to meet.
I have had 8 replies, 1 is unsure about how to use the reply button(I think ) and 1 just pure rude and blocked me |

I rarely read messages from profiles with no avatar or just says "hi" or "you want to meet"... I really dislike the instant sexual comments or extracts from erotic novels, copy and paste longwinded messages. So many reasons why women don't answer |

If you send shit messages, you are gonna get flushed!
The amount of "nice tits" type of 1 liners I get a day are ridiculous so I would say I reply to 50% of messages.
Replies back to me are pretty high. The worst culprits for not replying are the guys who are big forum posters. Go figure  |

Depends.
Face Pic Friday I'd say gets something like a 50-75% return rate.
Outside of that generally maybe 20-30%.
Never sent an unsolicited dick pic or FAF but I assume you'd be lucky to get anything back from such a message.

I came back on after a break, sent about 20 out, got one reply to say no.
Not sure what it is either, I try to make each message unique, interesting, not desperate, flirty if their profile wishes and send face pics. It's just a numbers game I guess, keep trying till you get some luck |
