I did. I swam in the cold, cold sea. Yes I know most of the country has been in the sea this weekend, but I hate being cold and I havnt swam/swum in years, there was a chilling sea mist to accompany me instead of the bright sun I had hoped for, and no wetsuit for me just a bikini, but I promised a child I would so I did. And you can too. So, whatever you want to do, go do it.

Love the positivity! You've spur_ed me on to take on the scratch some kind shopper left the entire length of my car yesterday with their keys.

I went in the sea with my children last week, warmish day but the water was freezing. I'd forgotten how cold it is. Didn't stay in long though because my son ran in and bombed at knee deep, hit his foot on the bottom, it swelled up so we had to go. Spend 2 hours at a&e later that day  "

I went in the sea with my children last week, warmish day but the water was freezing. I'd forgotten how cold it is. Didn't stay in long though because my son ran in and bombed at knee deep, hit his foot on the bottom, it swelled up so we had to go. Spend 2 hours at a&e later that day

Oh no! Was it broken or just bruised. The cold water hides so many cuts and bruises you dont realise you get till you warm back up too. There were some people jumping off a high rock into the sea that looked far to close for comfort from the shore  |

I can understand the thrill of the wild swimming thing I think,I would need some geeing up to get truly obsessed with it though. Or a wetsuit or a nice mediterranean pond. |
