Last night someone texted me at 2am. I found it when I saw my phone this morning, luckily it didn't wake me up. From someone I barely know just asking what I'm up to. Not an emergency from a family member or a friend.
I replied this afternoon to say I didn't reply as I was asleep.
Got a text back asking again what I'm up to, not even a 'sorry' due to the time the original text was sent.
I'd never call or text anyone after 10pm as I think it's rude. (Unless it was pre-arranged or in the middle of a text conversation.)
What time do you think is 'too late' to call or text? |

I had an ex from over 2 years ago ring me at 12am and 3am for a shag last night...he was told where to go! I missed the first call because I was otherwise engaged ( ) but was woken up by the second...not a happy bunny! x |

Maybe it's your network playing up?
I used to live in a house with bad signal, so Nell's texts would come through at odd times.
I think the best one was when a text asking me to pick up some milk came it at 3AM in the morning, while she was sleeping next to me. |

I've had the last week off and on 3 occassions my friend texted me before 8am. Early morning texts pee me off too. Late night texts? I agree on 10pm unless its the weekend when I would say midnight is my cut off. |

If somebody phones after 9pm or before 8am the our initial thought is "who's died?" Lol |

I did wonder that but it was definitely at that time. I've had texts at odd times but they usually say the time they were sent, even if they only just arrived.
Phew, glad it's not just me. Thought I was being old fashioned by thinking 10am was late. |

My phone is on mute while I sleep, so anyone can text at daft o clock if they wish...not that I'll read it till I rise about four or so anyway.
Any family desperately need to contact me (say if my Dad had been rushed to hospital) they can ring my landline, which I never give out to meets. |

Omg yeah that's just as bad if not worse!! 9am is my earliest. I've had texts at 6am off a friend before.
Now I put my phone on silent at night and my phone alarm still works luckily. |

"They can call/text anytime they like. I have the 'Timerific' app on my phone which automatically mutes all notifications from 9pm-7am
I need this!! "
It's a free App for Android, but I'm sure the same will be available for iPhone as well.
it's vey good because you can set whatever times you choose to auto mute your phone |

It is one thing if you know the person well and you know for sure they are awake, such as you have just been talking to them or you are both online or they have told you it's OK to text at that time as they are working nights or something. People who got your number via a site like this and send a random pointless non-important text late at night or early in the morning are generally chancers with a hard-on or needy twats... see it for what it is.... a warning sign! |

Yep exactly that! A big warning sign and the last straw.
I have a play phone too for this very reason. Only my fb has my real number. |
