Double standards on here....

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Would you consider it double standards, if a member of the opposite sex on here was for example after someone with shaved genitalia and theirs was hairy. Or after someone gym fit and they are overweight. This is in no way a body shaming thread, I just wondered what people thought of it?

I keep seeing profiles and statuses of people moaning they are not getting what they want and am curious as to people’s opinions...

Why double standards?

If they were criticising people when they were the same, that would be.

This is just a matter of what they are looking for.

Opposites attract?

There’s double standards throughout life and I’ve found it’s best to ignore them and carry on your own way

I don't see how it can be double standards. They are stating what they find desirable in a shagging partner. You don't have to be gym fit to find it a turn on

I'd say it's just preferences. They obviously fit the preferences of the people they've met though, unless unless everyone has double standards!

I see this as preferences and each to their own.

Being gym fit doesn't mean that they only like other gym fit people and vice versa, the same goes for hairy, tall, skin colour or any other 'thing/type'

If that was the case then should I only like other crossdressers?

I'm glad we can all have our choices to like what we like and hope others like us in return for who we are

We're old and we get quite a few requests to meet from young people. It's not double standards it's people liking what they like.

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters

Everybody has equal rights to have their preferences, whatever they may be. Also, everybody has equal rights to ask for whatever it is they want. Finally, everybody has equal rights to say either yes or no to what people ask for.

Remember: you have a right to ask. They have an equal right to say no (or yes).

Why is it double standard to want something you're not?

I want a woman with great big tits, don't mean I'm going to have a sex change and a boob job

Well ... if person A is overweight and has a preference for person B who is gym fit; and person B in turn prefers overweight - then it’s a match made in heaven.

However if person A only wants people who fit person B’s description, but person B also prefers gym fit and is therefore not attracted to person A, I suppose the double standards might be person A becoming upset or offended about that?

But otherwise I see no double standards.

However this may just be utter waffle .....

It’s not really double standards. Merely preference, but sometimes when you put a mundane thread title it gets little response.

keep up!!

Basically what I’m saying is, if you express a body preference yourself - yet person who you are attracted to in turn doesn’t find your own body attractive and therefore turns you down - being upset or offended about that would probably be the double standards wouldn’t it. If you have a preference, you have to accept that others in turn will also have their own, and you may not be it. (Not you personally!)

No. It's valid for everyone to have their own preferences and for like to seek like or very different/opposite.

Or is armpit hair another thread lol

I don’t bother myself with what others think or do.

Everyone has a different want or need. I like a man right now with a bald head, should I shave my head? I like a man right now who is very fit, I’m not... I positively the opposite.

No I don't think its double standards, if you lined up all the people you have had sexual meets with, do they all look the same or have the same traits, I know mine don't.

Its just different preferences and connections

That’s why I asked the question of the thread. I know it sounds strange, but some people be it on here or in life seek validation from others. Or even worry about what people think, or even why others are nasty to them. And it’s just great to get answers and enlighten others on here, by opening a line of questioning and bringing it to light.

That’s what I like about fab. For every 2 people out of 10 that are judging others, there are at least 8 that really don’t.

It gives you a bit of faith in the world.

It isn’t double standards but the people who are moaning might have delusional and unrealistic expectations . We all have preferences, but they have to be realistic

No. That is not double standards. That's personal preference.

I like extremes, very macho or very feminine both Male and Female. I’m neither I’m somewhere in the middle of both. I also wouldn’t want it in a partner either preferably someone who also is in the middle.

However I have sexual attraction when I’m dressed so if a guy, woman or couple find I match their preferences and they match mine ...great
