I found a pool that's opened and booked a swim

I can't wait.

Crazy or Not Crazy ?

How many of you wouldn't risk it right now ?

Wear Goggles apparently they’re putting extra chlorine in so your basically swimming in bleach!

Prefer the sea or a lake, not sure the sea is warm enough for me yet, should buy a wet suit really

Far too many tourists here for that, I'll wait till September when it goes quiet again

Goggles as said before, I'd probably have ear plugs also.

Bloody crally summer up this neck of the woods has prevented me from going swimming

I went to a public pool last week, had to go in swimsuit as you could only use changing rooms afterwards, hand sanitiser on entry, limited people and sectioned into three lanes all swimming clockwise to give a good distance between people, all seemed controlled and safe, safer than the supermarket anyway

Lake swim today though, just have to watch out for the blue algae, wakeboarders, day trippers on hourly hired boats and swarms of kids...not sure which is safest

I am back swimming at my local gym - 30 min pre booked slots, 4 lanes each 2m wide.

Pool side is cleaned between each session and disinfect sprays wipes are provided in the locker room and showers

Hand sanitise on entrance and exit - masks whilst not in the water

I feel it’s safe....

We have our own pool here in Spain. I’m sure there will be no sympathy but the water can get too warm in the afternoon, not quite refreshing enough. Ahhh never mind.

If you like swimming Granny then no of course you’re not cray cray but me I’m not a great lover of the pool sea or lake.

We have a 12 by 8 meter pool and I’ve been in it twice in three years but my wife will doo 100 lengths every day whilst I watch from a shady comfy chair !!!!

I swam this week - was lovely! Members only, Pre-booked 50 minute slots, and you have to even choose which speed lane you want to be in. Up to 6 people per lane / 24 in total. No showers so had to go home chloriney, but didn't notice it being stronger than usual. Staff wiping down changing cubical between use. Booked again for next week

Only 20 allowed in our pool at a time, just one lane marker seperating fast and slow swimmers, the only problem with that is the triathletes have take over fast lane and I can't get a proper swim because of them

100 lengths in 12 metre pool is only 48 lengths in a normal 25 metre pool

Good boy. Now exam number 2.

If Granny does 20 lengths in an olympic pool. How many lengths would she have to do in a 12m pool to cover the same distance ?

B) how many turns does she do in each pool?

c) There is no C

My point is, it looks a lot longer than it actually is with a smaller pool

Can you just pop down to Almeria and take the cover off ours please as we keep having our flight cancelled and I imagine it’s like a bubbling hot jacuzzi

No chit chat at my local one, three lanes which are slow, medium and fast and you book your lane, you can change if feel pressured if there’s room in another lane, I usually go medium to play it safe

North West

I'd love a swim, but our local pools aren't open yet. And when they are, I'll be in a post surgical state of "not allowed to swim". Can't even go to the seaside and fight with the hordes to get to the sea, cos nowadays you have to isolate for two weeks before admission and I'm a good girl
