Hi, beauty thread. Why not.

Maskne - yes, no?

Any finds, hair, makeup, skin, otherwise?

Techniques?

Are you bothering?

Those looking for body highlighters: Huda have a new gigantic compact also designed for body. Looks like a warm gold so more suitable than some for greater depth in skintone. (The Illamasqua ones are also quite big)

Revolution Salicylic Acid is really fragranced. Not amused.

My latest half arsed experiments with curly girl have seen me go from (regular haircare) probably 2a/b to about 3a. 3b would be my holy grail I think.

Enjoying big eyeshadow because my face is covered.

Maskne is totally happening

Sun cream, one that doesn't clog your skin and make you feel even hotter please.

I'm going for lashings of máscara and dark black kohl to give an air of mystery above my mask

Korean style gel ones are the way to go. I haven't taken the plunge yet. I use a Nivea matte facial one. LRP has a well rated one but it's really expensive.

I found this useful re the crossover between suncare and makeup. https://youtu.be/jMTY5LdZM3s

I’m looking for a nice subtle fake tan one that gives you a soft glow rather than a orange look ..

I love face jewels so may have to be a bit daring and pop one on next time go out. Just doing the usual really, but adding a bit more highlighter to beneath the brows, and white eye pencil (when can be bothered) x Viv x

Heck yes.

My usual eyeshadow look barely extends beyond the crease, into skin tone and eyebrow highlight.

Fuck it I'm doing way more than that at the moment

Haha, I’m just lazy! I have done my eyes darker and more like the goth look I used to favour with the colours though, loving my purples again at the mo xx

im immensely disappointed in the bperfect tahiti palette. Some beautiful purples and duochromes but 3/4 of the colours are already in the carnival xl palette which i have so im not sure if i can justify buying it.

I am looking into some indie pigments and glitters. just trying to decide which ones to buy because they are all gorgeous

I freaking hate lots of dupes in palettes. What's the point?

I think reasonably priced singles is the future, particularly indy.

I don't need it any time soon, but there's a Lethal shade which is a good dupe for Urban Decay Tease, which I like for a subtle cooler toned crease tone.

More cool neutrals would make me happy. I can do warm just fine, but they're everywhere.

Its a headwreck and tbh the purples that were in the carnival palette were very patchy and hard to work with

I now won't buy eyeshadow without a review I trust. Period.

They look great but be prepared to have the gaps filled pretty regularly as they do come out

I found the best thing was cutting out heat. Also, the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is bloody brilliant for damaged hair! It's a miracle in a bottle.

I've never bleached, but my frizz has improved by only using a microfibre towel and diffusing rather than blow drying

Soap and Glory have an SPF 50. I think it's called Make Yourself Youthful. It's lightweight and makes your skin feel so hydrated. It's not greasy and gives your skin a nice glow.

I've not tried La Roche Posay but their SPF range is meant to be fantastic.

I have the same issue - I only use L’oreal Kerastase products on it, including the smoothing serum, and it does seem to help a little. That and avoiding heat styling as much as possible.

Your hair looks lovely in your photos!! I love the colour. I'm quite tempted to go lilac again. I'd love to go blue but last time I did I couldn't remove the colour from my hair for months.

That's what I love about bright colours, the dyes are always so gentle on your hair. It's a shame that it has to be bleached for best results! I nearly lost all of my hair to bleach when I was younger. I wish they could find something to lighten hair without the damage!

I have some cheap Argan oil which I sometimes use to reduce frizz. Goes a long way, as too much just makes it look greasy. Although it does decrease the appearance of volume (in my case at the length it is, not necessarily a bad thing)

I've got an Ikea desk for my makeup table in my bedroom.

The acrylic storage from Primark is pretty good for some things, particularly lipstick. I've got a magnified mirror with a light (Boots No 7, not super fancy), although I don't like it for foundation because you see every flaw in a way that isn't necessary for that.

That's interesting. I've got a mix of stuff including Benefit, but I'm not sure Benefit are worth the price point. I'll use them as I have them (their value bundles are good).

I've heard good things about Essence but not sure about UK availability. Although my brow game is not on fleek
