My Dear friends Fabbers and Forumites.

Who amongst us loves to feel the freedom of the open road on two wheels , powered by your own good self ?

Wether it be a lycra clad strava driven road bike , a fun muddy uphill mountain bike or just a happy pootle along the cycle track on a sunny day .

I adore the freedom my bike gives me , the pleasure of just discovering new places to go. During the lockdown period I used my cycling to take me away from the world and the long hours I have worked .

So come say hello , bring your helmets and tinkle your bells .

Taff

(Disclaimer, I understand and we aren't to popular with some people . It's a matter of becoming more respectful between pedestrian, cyclist and drivers )

Pootle along the cycle track ?? oh my dear Taff, in our neck of the woods, the council must have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on cycle tracks, beautiful pieces of smooth, pothole free tarmac, kept well swept and clean .... and do the cyclists of Nottingham use them ??? not on your life, yet every opportunity they are screaming for safer roads, yet they seem to refuse to use the safety of the cycle tracks they have already

Can any of you fine cyclists finally tell us if you are a vehicle or a person? Also, can you please clarify which rules of the road do you abide to? Another question, are you scared of cycling lanes or sidewalks? Thank you for your time.

Once I'm upto speed and drafting a buss lorry van heck most 4x4 are big enough these days

Anything and one is fair game.

I miss the empty roads of lockdown

Reminds me of being a kid during the summer we had the fuel blockade by the lgv drivers

Do you think cyclists are a collect unit, or are you aware that most cyclists are motorists too, If you cycled you’ll realise that most cycling infrastructure is shit and it’s incredible dangerous out there.

To be fair there are cockends that ride more than 2 a brest in collected unit on the road.

Thinking they are in the peloton.

Whether being overtaking as a cyclists or overtaken as a motorists.

Its easiest to show consideration for the opposing road user.

Read the Highway Code, cyclists are allowed to ride two abreast, it can be annoying, but they’re not actually doing anything wrong.

Hmmmmm

I generally stay clear of roads people who ask the same questions as yourself drive cars there and it can be scary x

I will say

Bikes should be on roads and treated as both people horses and vehicles

Not on pavements

And that's why I wrote MORE Than 2 abreast

Its not just annoying its dangerous... I've had idiots race up to ride alongside me at club meets to ask dumb questions about my kit whilst riding.

Like dura ace shifting gear is gonna turn you into Chris froome

Ive even dismounteed sometimes on long steep hill climbs to let cars overtake me...Why take the risk.

There are way to many people using cycling to live through their mid life crisis and fever dreams of being in the tour de france

Sorry OP, I won't take you seriously about your love for cycling until you change your profile name to Peddling Taff.

By the way, I love cycle, I have three bikes and get out as much as I can. Still trying to start a Fab cycling group in my area but no one seems interested.
