Five guys fries

Decided to treat myself to a five guys today as I've been feeling rubbish lately. Thought I'd be clever and order a "little" portion of fries (flashbacks to the time I ordered regular and had to roll myself back to my car) but was still presented with what can only be described as Potato Mountain. When a fat bird is struggling to finish the portion you know it's a problem!!!

I’m so going to five guys now next time I see one as I’ve never been and this is making me salivate.

"I've never been but heard nothing but good reviews "

It was only my second time getting fries but I would definitely recommend the cajun ones over the regular. I usually just get their shakes which are CRAZY good but their burger is meant to be amazing. Never had it though as I'm veggie.

They're doing Eat Out To Help Out only £4.10 for fries and a Shake

So £8.20 for chips and a milkshake normally? That sounds pretty extortionate

Definitely a sharing portion.

Tbh I’m not a huge fan of their chips, they make a big deal about frying in peanut oil, but - hmmm.

On a mooch

We made that mistake the first time we went... 3 burgers (not little burgers, thinking they were kids size) and 3 regular fries .... so much food.

You learn after your first visit, now it’s little burgers and share a little fries

The little fries are huge!

I'm a fat bird and can't manage all of them - they're delicious though.

The burgers are pretty tasty too.

Yeah I've never been because of their lack of decent veggie option.

Aw man I miss five guys.

Used to live round the corner from one so would treat myself on payday. Agree little cheeseburger and fries all the way as the portions are massive. Shakes were amazing and those burgers mmmmmm

Don’t have them here and now I really want five guys!!

And maybe a burger afterwards

"Never been to one as they don’t have any burgers other than beef. Has this changed now?"

Nope. I believe they do beef hotdogs too though. Their only veggie option is basically a cheeseburger without the burger but I'm very happy and satisfied with my fries and shake, don't really need more

Their shakes really are delicious though so I would say it's worth trying just for that.

its the rookie "five guys" mistake...

if people haven't eaten i tell people if its just you... get the small... if you are sharing, get the regular and split it, never get the large unless you are trying to feed a 3rd world country!!!

also.... if you are on a diet the burgers are actually not bad (if you are smart with the toppings/sauces the burgers themselves are low fat!).... but leave the fries as they are a diet killer!!!!!

1500 calories in a regular portion!!!

When I did the calories research I was horrified... all the time I was blaming the burgers when it’s the fries!

In fact you could get 3 of the burgers and still consume less calories than the regular fries... you are way better off getting a small portion of chips from the local chippy

I tracked it on WW and it said around 520 cals for 3/4 portion of little fries. As it's a very occasional treat I can live with that (and in fact still lost half a lb)

The milkshake however was shocking. 714 cals just for the base, never mind the mix-ins!! Brought me to around 1000, for a DRINK!

the burgers and fries was my "special treat" when i was losing a bit of weight.... now its just the burgers!!!!!

bank holiday in 3 weeks time and i think a treat may be coming....

so maybe the questions should now be what do you put on your burger.......

Never heard of this chain. Just had a look and my closest is about 120 miles. Maybe a little bit too far. I'll stick with a home grilled rare rump steak once in a while.

best way to describe their normal burger would be something akin to a double whopper... but its so... so much nicer!!!!

do not order the large fries... you will be eating "potato" for a week!!!

First time I went to a Five Guys they messed up my order. They upgraded me to a large meal and gave me vouchers for another 3 meals.

Their customer service is 2nd to none.
