One of those random songs that you stumble across at low moments. Well I just found one

Its Haven't seen the last of me by Cher

What songs caught you at that point? Helped focus you on where you needed to be? Let's share in hope that they help others too?

Live To Tell by Madonna.

In particular, this verse:

I know where beauty lives

I've seen it once, I know the warm she gives

The light that you could never see

It shines inside, you can't take that from me

Not really my thing but .. there’s one called 7yrs old by Lukas Graham .. think it’s the piano melody .. and the end bit .. many others but this was the most recent one that made me stand up and think to myself ...

Athlete, wires. Brings me to the horrendous time that my little girl was in hospital for 2 weeks but she pulled through.

Travis, re offender. Got cheated on and kept going back for more. Makes me think of that girl!

Stevie Nicks - Wild Heart

“Something in my heart died last night

Just one more chip off an already broken heart

I think the heart broke long ago

That's when I needed you

When I needed you most“

Had a few times like that over the years. Adele's last album literally sang my life at one point.

Also, on a drive to Birmingham I was listening to radio 2 and a catchy country song came on Diane by cam. Again it resonated with my life at the time and I became obsessed with it. I also became obsessed with her as well as her other songs were crackers as well.

I'm not gonna miss you by Glenn Campbell. The last song he recorded while suffering from dementia. I was caring for someone with dementia at the time and it really hit home. Give it a play if you share your life, your home or your heart with a sufferer of this terrible condition.

I always get the impression people think that was Freddie writing semi-autobiographically, and forgetting that it was for a specific scene in Highlander.

That's not knocking it as a song, though

Seventeen by Janis Ian struck a chord the first time I heard it.

As did Time In A Bottle by Jim Croce. A beautiful sentiment in that one, and more ironic that the poor sod died in a plane crash at the age of 30

Oh, yes - I heard that not long after I split with the ex

I'm not saying that it made me cry, but my eyes inexplicably leaked water uncontrollably

A certain song can transport you back in time can’t it. Although it’s sad it good to remember them too.

The last time a song made me all emosh was a few years back .

RHCP's The Zephyr Song has a particular guitar riff that is so gorgeous it actually reduced me to tears.

It's a powerful piece of art that song

Blanket sung by Imogen Heap and backed by Jeff Beck. I came across the performance at Ronnie Scott’s on YouTube a few months ago. Perfect during lockdown.

‘Music is my Sanctuary, Music is my blanket.

Emotion less this city lies, cruel it is, it clouds my eyes. The dark, the dark shades on my day. I live inside this place.’

It carries on with its dark lyrics but it’s the performance that keeps me going back and watching it
