Do you know for sure that the other person was who they say they are OP? Happens a lot that blokes pose as women to get their sexual kicks and then once they've got them, or if talk of meeting crops up, they block.
Or perhaps they weren't as invested in the conversation as you were.
Or any number of other possibilities - it happens and you probably will never know which is why it's not worth sweating how other people act even though sometimes it might be mystifying
