"There's a reason why the newspapers with the highest circulation are right wing.
Do you think it's strange that the Guardian didn't report the same story?"
I don't know, I don't read The Guardian. |

Fair enough. |

"The Murdoch documentary was meant to be very good, did anybody see it?
No, but it's on the list to watch! "
Same. I wouldn't read The Scum anyway but the influence that it and he have is scary |

"If people stopped buying newspapers would that help
ALL lives matter
How about stop pigeon holing people and creating divide? We are all humans xx"
Not all humans treat all humans as equal that's the problem. When black lives matter then all lives will matter, but that prejudice is deeply embedded in society |

Clem , did you and I read the same article ?
I found it balanced.
Your link didn't take me to anything much so I sought out the Daily Mail and read about the effects of the same incident as seen through the eyes of INAYA FOLARIN IMAN.
Not remotely racist. Quite the opposite. |

Some articles are good to read in newspapers though
We have free press to a certain extent so it’s their or their writer’s opinion and the editor’s choice to print ! |

Agreed, I think it just seemed to report what happened, we all know Nigel Farage likes to rock the boat so most of us ignore his comments. |

Maybe you should give your powers of critical analysis a bit of a workout, because they are failing you here. You seem to be unable to recognise when obvious propaganda is being presented as ‘balanced’ reporting.
You could start by thinking about the way the headline relates to the structure of the piece, and how they both relate to the factual content therein, contrasted with opinion presented as established fact. |

Come back when you can be less personal and maybe comment on what I read. |

Not being personal at all - simply commenting on what you’ve written. |

This will be my only response to you as if we continue ping ponging it will interupt the thread.
How is is NOT personal to question my ability re critical analysis?
To say my ability is failing me ?
To say that I am unable to recognise obvious propaganda?
To tell me to start thinking about headlines and structure.
To tell me to think about how the above relates to fact and opinion ?
You used the personal pronoun 'YOU' four times ......
You made absolutely NO comment about the content of the article.
I'm not even sure you read the same article as me.

Definitely not balanced |

I always found it a bit baffling that people WANT to read something that makes them angry.
There's this bloke at work who sits there every lunch fuming over the latest outrage and I just think 'Why would anyone - of any political leaning - want that aggravation to be part of their daily routine?' |
