I love cooking a Sunday lunch for the whole family.

If it was just me I'd have a pork/lamb chop and new or roast potatoes and veg.

Cook? What is this word you speak?

Did you mean cock and not cook?

Takeaway is my chef and my cocking never comes into question. ????

I'll make you a dinner though if you want one so bad.. No cock included I promise. X

I cheated today and went for a carvery on my own. I don't see what's so wrong with a woman sat alone in a pub.

I was hungry for proper food!

Nothing wrong with a lady sitting eating on her own.

I would of come over to your table and said hello to you.

Then invited myself to sit down and woo you. Hehe

I never think to go out on my own. I should though.

Nothing wrong with going out for a meal by yourself. I am sure you had a wonderful time.

Just look up honey mustard chicken on the BBC website.

Parboil some potatoes, throw some chicken thighs in a baking tray, drop in the potatoes on top, whack it in the oven.

Last few minutes add peas, and it says to add spinach, but I add in frozen Savoy cabbage instead. So whack in the peas and cabbage.

5 mins later, you've got chicken roasties and veg, for not a lot of effort at all. And not much dishes to stick in the dishwasher either.

Sometimes I like to treat myself to a nice meal, but most of the times I just put together something quick and simple. The cooking itself is something I really enjoy...the problem is cleaning the mess up when I finish.

You should! No reason to be dependent on company to get a nice meal. Or cinema or anything else for that matter

I love going to the cinema or theatre on my own. Don't have to discuss it and can get a quiet pint to afterwards.

When I was at Uni and I had a roast craving I would just do roast potatoes and gravy on their own. Would eat them by the bowlful. Sometimes add some stuffing balls. Almost a roast without the hassle.

I did it all the time before lockdown. I’ve not done it yet, but feel a bit guilty taking a table for one when the business could have four people in that space. Luckily my pub is now delivering

Treat yourself to a pint of cider and a toast at a pub, you know you've earned it

No cooking no washing up it's win win

Freeze what's left and you've got next Sundays sorted, I freeze it in seperate bags ie meat in one, veg in another and then just make fresh gravy on the day.

I am Sure someone will say you can't but I've never had a problem

I don't do it every week, but it's so much easier doing it for one...meat (and potatoes if I'm having them) in the oven, steam some veg in the microwave when it's nearly done, make gravy in a jug. Simple, and about 5 minutes preparation time.

I ususally work Sundays so don't bother, but in truth, I rarely cook for myself anyway, Sunday or not.

I'll just have a sandwich or toast. Something that takes zero effort. I know it's wrong but I do just see it as a waste of gas cooking just for me

I like doing it, I get to sit by myself and read without interruptions.

I don't cook a Sunday lunch for me. Sometimes I get it delivered though.

I don’t bother. I usually go to a pub with a mate, to my mum/sisters for a family meal, or very occasionally if I’m really lucky, the lady next door does me some when she cooks for her and her husband.
