So I need to have a small operation under local anaesthetic on the top of my head. The procedure will leave an open wound as they can't stitch it and won't skin graft due to increased risk of infection.
It will take 4 - 6 weeks to heal properly and need to see local nurse etc regularly for 3 weeks to ensure it's ok and change dressings.
In the current climate I have postponed it once as I feel it's a risk that I may not be able to get appointments easily due to current pandemic climate.
I have been rebooked for Sept and again think I may push back as it's not life threatening and can wait.
Am I being too cautious about it all or am I being sensible.
(Disclaimer I will make my own mind up but curious as to what people think or would do). |

Absolutely agree with you, I think there’s bound to be a second wave with this pandemic so if you can afford to delay, I think it’s a sensible option.
Truly hope things get better afterwards, good luck Op |

If its for something that will not affect your health in any other way, id postpone until this is all over personally?
Good luck though...hope it all goes ok what ever you decide. |

Always a tough decision but, depending on what it is and where it is, right now the number of cases seems to be slowly decreasing, yes there will probably be another spike but any that are happening have being localised
I would probably have it done and get it knee with if you have the option
Especially as it is day case you are not going to be having around the hospital for long |

You stand more chance of being hit by lightning...
UK population is 66 million..
Divide the amount of UK deaths yesterday by 66 million...
How many died other related diseases.. |
