Try Swedish group Hellsongs who do lounge covers of metal/rock songs. Brilliant.

Xentrix (if you can find it) did a thrash version of Ghostbusters.

Hayseed Dixie do a mean cover version in a weird bluegrass way. I have to say they are fantastic live but bloody awful on record. It could be that I'm pissed at the gigs...
