If someone really felt my advice was worth listening to on FAB, I'd say a key to success on here, is engagement with others and making an effort to project oneself.
So what better way than to ask the lounge members to sit down with a few snacks , whilst every member gives a ten minute presentation on a subject of their choice.
What's your subject? I'm truly intrigued to know from those I recognise. |

I done a presentation on Michael Jordan once at school. Also done one on Arnold Schwarzenegger. I cant imagine anyone on fab would want to hear about either of them? Not that I know very much about them now anyway |

Probably fish keeping and tank maintenance for me.
Or i could run the ice breaker games... Maltesers, loo roll, cups, Spagetti, jelly babies. I could go on |

Actually, I think I could easily talk for 10 minutes on The History of The Vietnam War; a particular interest of mine.

I did one a few weeks ago for work around the emphasis of how we emphasise words and how it comes across :
I didn’t say he stole the money
I DIDNT say he stole the money
I didn’t SAY he stole the money
I didn’t say HE stole the money
I didn’t say he STOLE the money
I didn’t say he stole THE money
I didn’t say he stole the MONEY
The other one I’ve done is how you talk to people via a web based platform as opposed to face to face. Record a short phrase several times and each time you will get a much better outcome as you notice how quickly you talk and how you need to slow it down, take breaths and use pauses:

My field is palaeontology, specifically palaeobiology so I hope you're all ready to learn about some of my favourite microfossils!
I might even cover dinosaurs too, everyone loves dinosaurs. |

I'd probably, if I had to, would do a presentation on mindfulness, which would include snippets of a couple of my non fab hobbies, and how to apply mindfulness into every day tasks |
