Back at the Gym ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
I was planning on going back today. But my housemate has to have an operation next Friday, so we all have to isolate until 2 weeks after she is out of hospital.
So it will be mid to end of August before I get back there. |

Nope, I have a home gym now. Both memberships cancelled, been back 6 weeks, all back to pretty much full strength.
Light week this week then prepping for next years comps starts. |

"Not me. I will be continuing training at, you save alot of time by doing so as well and as well you can have your post meal straight after it "
Trouble is I don't have the motivation on my own. The owner of the gym I go to was sending out weekly plans for people to do at home and lending equipment for people to have at home.
I took a barbell and plates home from the gym at work and fuybd a set of dumbbells in the garage but I did just a handful of workouts because it's boring doing it on your own.
Also not everyone has space for a lot of equipment. I kept mine in the garden. |

I’ve been back in today, although only in the pool. Sessions are timed with cleansing of equipment between each session. Pool was reduced to 4 users at any one time and likewise pre-booked slots.
Showers operational but use of hairdryers not permitted at present. It’s a decent gym so everyone in today respected SD
It was good to be back into my fitness routine Again |

" At home* Yes and I find it easy to get the motivation at home, that is good you got some workout plans, do you go both to the gym and at home? I do a full body workout 3 times a week and I eat in a slight deficit as I do summer shredding |

I prefer training on my own, always have. Everyone is different though |

Second workout this morning and starting to feel it even when training lighter. First swim too which needs to be booked in advance.
Busier today than it was on Saturday.
Does anyone go to the gym in Solihull, Birmingham. |

"I'm not brave enough to go back yet. I'm really worried about being surrounded by sweaty bodies."
Me too but our gym has clearly marked out areas in the classes (I only do classes), so you have to stay in your little box away from others. I’m not using the changing rooms or any other facilities. |

Yeah. I'm sure my gym is doing a great job but... nope I'm not touching that. I'll let other people be the experiment. |

Despite the social distancing (tape on floor) and lots of cleaning stations I must say it kind of makes a mockery of having to wear masks in supermarkets. I can see both sides of the debate and each to their own regarding returning. Still nobody local to mine though it seems |

I suppose the argument is, we make the risks lowest where you need to go. Everyone needs at least groceries, while gyms are clearly optional. |

I am going to give it a miss this year and going out to dinner or anywhere there is lots of people in close contact.
Was meant to be going to Vegas at the end of this year but I think it will be cancelled. |

I think I might wait until next year the same as you. I'm not the type of person to take risks and I won't be going anywhere where there are lots of people. Zero sympathy for people having to quarantine after a holiday in the middle of a World Pandemic. |
