So how many of you are planning a return to the gym this weekend, or have you already been?

I’ve also wondered if anyone from my gym is on here

I’m over in Solihull

I was planning on going back today. But my housemate has to have an operation next Friday, so we all have to isolate until 2 weeks after she is out of hospital.

So it will be mid to end of August before I get back there.

Won't be returning to the gym. I'm set to be working out at home now. Find it much more convenient and free to use as much as I want whenever I want.

My gym offered a free pause option, which I've taken up. I'll be working out from home for awhile.

Yep. Back in this morning for some squats, bench and deaflifts. Kept it light as its been a while since I did any but was good to be back.

Got the fun job of cleaning my staff gym at work tomorrow ready to re open it on Monday. Its grim.

Nope, I have a home gym now. Both memberships cancelled, been back 6 weeks, all back to pretty much full strength.

Light week this week then prepping for next years comps starts.

Trouble is I don't have the motivation on my own. The owner of the gym I go to was sending out weekly plans for people to do at home and lending equipment for people to have at home.

I took a barbell and plates home from the gym at work and fuybd a set of dumbbells in the garage but I did just a handful of workouts because it's boring doing it on your own.

Also not everyone has space for a lot of equipment. I kept mine in the garden.

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

I’ve been back in today, although only in the pool. Sessions are timed with cleansing of equipment between each session. Pool was reduced to 4 users at any one time and likewise pre-booked slots.

Showers operational but use of hairdryers not permitted at present. It’s a decent gym so everyone in today respected SD

It was good to be back into my fitness routine Again

I'm going back but only to do weights.

I've lost 2 stone in a few weeks doing the new job so the cardio is sorted and I'm getting paid for it too

At home* Yes and I find it easy to get the motivation at home, that is good you got some workout plans, do you go both to the gym and at home? I do a full body workout 3 times a week and I eat in a slight deficit as I do summer shredding

Going to wait and see how the gym's new system works in preventing risk of spread - chose to freeze my membership until the end of August. Will work out at home for now.

4 months without is driving him nuts, and he's meant to be training me.

Second workout this morning and starting to feel it even when training lighter. First swim too which needs to be booked in advance.

Busier today than it was on Saturday.

Does anyone go to the gym in Solihull, Birmingham.

Me too but our gym has clearly marked out areas in the classes (I only do classes), so you have to stay in your little box away from others. I’m not using the changing rooms or any other facilities.

Despite the social distancing (tape on floor) and lots of cleaning stations I must say it kind of makes a mockery of having to wear masks in supermarkets. I can see both sides of the debate and each to their own regarding returning. Still nobody local to mine though it seems

I suppose the argument is, we make the risks lowest where you need to go. Everyone needs at least groceries, while gyms are clearly optional.

I am going to give it a miss this year and going out to dinner or anywhere there is lots of people in close contact.

Was meant to be going to Vegas at the end of this year but I think it will be cancelled.

I think I might wait until next year the same as you. I'm not the type of person to take risks and I won't be going anywhere where there are lots of people. Zero sympathy for people having to quarantine after a holiday in the middle of a World Pandemic.
