I posted a status earlier about being somewhat repulsed by (mostly bi male) profiles with multitudes of barebacking photos and I’m quite taken aback by the response it sparked!

Got a few questionable messages Giving me grief and I really don’t understand why!!

Is this a topic that triggers debate? I know I only really need to worry about people I’m playing with being safe, but I’m just in shock at the attitude to me

Seems the majority of pictures are bareback, yet the profiles say "safe only" (Seems they say one thing and do another)

I was prompted by someone who sent me a wink that had 2 pages of photos of them barebacking a variety of different men and women and it just repulsed me!

I like a good status update, I post up funny and silly things about Fab observations - from men’s pant choices in photos, favourite opening lines etc and usually get a lot of fun interactions. Never singling anyone out or humiliating them. I have connected with a lot of friends that way, from people saying they always smile at my updates. So that was all.

It is a topic that brings up a lot of heated debate because everyone has their own opinions and people won't agree all the time. Debate is fine as long as people aren't trying to push their views on to others.

It's each person's choice to do as they wish and to judge what are or aren't acceptable risks for them.

What is not acceptable are the 'sneaky barebackers' (ones who try slipping in without, despite being told no previously or worse the ones who bag up and then try to do the subtle remove, they're the disrespectful ones who say they don't do bareback to get a meet, just be honest so people can make their own minds up. Frankly they're just selfish cunts who only think about themselves and what they want).

It's their choice Tom, everyone sets their own levels of risk, what they are willing to do, etc.

We don't do bareback with others but that's our choice. Others can make their own decisions. Honesty is what is more important so everyone can make an informed choice.

Lying by omission is just the same as lying by any other means. We'd prefer for another couple to say we do bareback than lie about it, that way we can make an informed choice.

Morals are great if the comply with your own.

To be fair it's a personal thing. For us it's about always playing safe. If people want to take risks then up to them but we wouldn't be doing that.

I find these threads depressing. We are clear about our preferences for 'safe' sex but that in no way implies any judgment on those who don't.

For those banging on about Russian roulette, you do realise life is one big game of Russian roulette? One we will all lose eventually at some unknown time. Everything we do carries a risk, stay in bed all day and die of a stroke, get up and die falling down the stairs, getting hit by lightning, joining the thousands who die every year on our roads etc etc. The point is we are all responsible for carrying out our own risk/reward assessment for everything we do and we all have different levels of what is a worthwhile risk. If you don't want to be called a dirty disgusting person for driving a car then perhaps you shouldn't be using those names for people who's level of acceptable risk is different to yours?

OP, there are many photos on Fab that I find quite gross. But people are allowed to post them and I can choose not to look.

As for bareback, then this is also a choice by both parties. It's neither good or bad, just a choice.

However, all sex should be consensual. Non-consensual sex (such as not using a condom when it was agreed to do so) can quite rightly land the guilty party in court.

People don’t necessarily agree to have sex with someone that has previously had bareback sex because they may not have all the facts. If they tell you they don’t always practice safe sex then you can make an informed decision but if they don’t tell you then they are definitely putting you at risk.
