I'm not putting anyone down here. Its a preference. I don't get why the eye rolling is needed. No one would question you for having a preference in looks, so why is it different for men ? |

Because all women are real women regardless of their size. Slimmer women can also have curves. Nobody said you weren't allowed a preference it's the way you expressed if that was the problem |

“Real women have real curves” implies that slimmer framed women are by default not “real women”. Yes we all have preferences, but most of us can express them in ways that aren’t potentially offensive to those who don’t fit out preference.
Example - I prefer taller men. But I wouldn’t state that “real men are over 6 ft”. I’d just say that I prefer taller men. |

Threads such as these always tend to attract the type of comment that is potentially offensive to the slimmer lady (“who wants bones anyway” and “real women have curves” being two of the common ones). It comes up so often it’s always an eye roll moment - I just find it so unnecessary. Appreciating one type of body shape doesn’t have to equate to insulting the other. |
