I was just thinking about it. For me it's the most important thing you can give to someone..'your time'
I was thinking about memories, the good and bad.
Thinking about the times I wish I'd spent with people. And, now looking forward to creating new memories.
But most of all I'm reminded time is limited. And finally, it's always good to take the time to be nice to each other.
Love and peace x

A lovely post, OP. Our time is most certainly precious and with each passing year I'm grateful for the time I do have and I want to make the most of it. Connecting with other amazing souls is always a great use of time. 3 |

I'm fascinated by time. The concept of it, the relevance to our lives, how it seems to pass more slowly or quickly under different circumstances. The way that when youre in an experience it can seem to last forever but looking back it seems fleeting.
Interesting stuff |

We have all the time in the world nowadays but it seems to go much more quickly than when we had less time.
That doesn't even make sense though, 24 hours is still the same now as it was 20 years ago but I perceive time much differently now |

Such a lovely thing to read OP.
I think losing loved ones over the past year has made me realise how much I value time. Like Nicecouple it does seem to be going faster which is kind of sad. Spending 24 hours with a loved one feels like only a couple of hours. Sometimes I wish there was a way to make things slow down a bit but you can't, can you? So I try to make the most of my time (when I can) and actually enjoy what life has to offer. |

As a 58 year old, I've got some good memories, as well as bad, but I feel that there are still more good ones to come hopefully. We can't change our past, but we all have a choice in what determines our future |

Feeling this very keenly, especially when it seems that all of this year - and no knowing how much longer - has been stolen away. |

For me I think it's not getting wrapped up in the unimportant things. Losing loved ones well, that sure makes you realise what's really important and to take your time with those special people around us. To stop and smell the Rose's but, time is at a premium!
I am really sorry to hear about your loss |

How very true, there's a rugby great, Joost van der Westhuizen, died of MND recently at 45. Has a 5 minute interview on BBC scrum v and for anyone who needs reminding... Him struggling to make the point that we humans take two things for granted... Time and health is inspiring.
Great reminder OP, thanks. |

For me, being separated from those dear to me during lockdown has made me realise just who is really important to me - and yes, I have had regrets about being "too busy" to not prioritise spending time with them. It's also made me realise that I wish I'd taken more photo's - I've always been too absorbed with just enjoying time with people, and now all I have are the memories in my head |

When you see them again take all the photos and videos but also enjoy the time you have with them. Lockdown has helped me realise similar things as well.
I really hope you get to see them again soon, it must be really tough. |

I'm going to buy a bigger memory card to take ALL the pictures and videos

Even though I live alone and have enjoyed ma own company (for the last 7 years), I've had 3 long term relationships when we have lived together, I still miss the intimacy of meeting ma fb, I last saw her in January |

I'm definitely missing intimacy (19 weeks and counting ), but I don't think I ever really realised how tactile I am in general - I hug virtually everyone I know every time I see them, and I'm missing doing that...and also finding that I have to consciously stop myself from doing so when I've seen my friends. |

The song Cut Here by The Cure encapsulates this nicely for me. It's apparently about the time Robert Smith bumped into his friend Billy Mackenzie of The Associates, but was too busy to take time to talk to him. Not long after, Mackenzie took his life and there was a moment that could never come again. This hits home, as it parallels something that happened to me a few years ago.
Make time for your friends when you can because you never know what's around the corner. |

No matter how much time has passed people who love you will be there for you.. like you have seen each other yesterday. And that is a fascinating side of Time... to me.

I find that with some school friends who I catch up with over on facebook. We cant have seen each other in nigh on 25 + yrs but you can still feel that connection and can still have a little chat. I feel very much similar. I have never been a kind of friend who needs frequent check ins. Rare but rich moments mattered more to me than daily chit chat. But I feel I'm drifting off topic now so will leave it there. |
