Anyone got a Mazda?

I'm looking at second hand cars and have found a Mazda 6. Does anyone have one of these and if so can you tell me what you think to it please? I'm a stereotypical woman and don't have much experience when it comes to knowing what to look for.

Tin town

Gf has one and loves it. Watch out for the service interval and costs though.

I think Mazdas have a great record for reliability and being good value for money.

The Parkers website gives good in depth reviews on all makes and models of car so is worth consulting.

I got a 5yo one (was a 56 plate at the time) had it 18 months and had to get rid of it. ones of that sort of age had issues with corrosion of the chassis. not sure what the newer ones are like. was a nice car to drive.

What generation Mazda6?

How old is the car?

What's the mileage?

I know people very happy with the Mazda6, others who found it hugely uncomfortable on anything other than a short journey, and others who've suffered engine failures... we need more detail.

Bedford

As above, they can go rusty which can be expensive to fix. Might be worth getting an AA inspection done or find a friendly mechanic if you’re not sure.

Mazda’s are lovely, you get a lot for your money. They come loaded with lots that most manufacturers charge a fair bit for. I think they’re a great drive too. Although I would go for a petrol one if you have the option to do so.

In Ireland there seems to be a big problem with the diesel engines.
