Woke up this morning to discover my phone had an automatic update whilst I slept.
In the top left corner of my phone beside the signal strength and WiFi strength symbol,there appears to be a new symbol that wasn't there before
Searched on Google but can't find the symbol anywhere.
Anyone else have this or know what the symbol is? |

This is Voice over LTE (using 4G network to make voice calls). Old icon would have been box with HD in it.
Pull status bar down, press and hold mobile data icon (should take you to settings), should have option to switch off.
Search for huawei volte for more info. |

Is it the NFC icon?
Should be in your pull down options or you'll find it deeper in the settings if not. It's basically what's used for contactless payments etc if you use your phone as your bank card. |

Yes I had the 2004/2005 version Nokia simple phone but it was a good build and the battery lasted longer after chargeing than my Nokia 106 from 2018 when it came out still a good cheap phone thou..  |

Probably down to trump. Didn't he tell usa tech firms they had to pull apps from Huawei phones or not install them on new ones? Could be the start of that. |
