Midlands

In parts of the Midlands you may hear "alright our kid?"

Just up the road you may hear "ow am yam?" ( You WILL need a translator in Dudley!)

What are the greetings around your neck of the woods?

I don't actually live anywhere near there, but my bum likes to sing so I thought it had a slight comedic element

I’ve been trying to think what our local greeting is but beyond “hiya” I’m struggling therefore I’ve come to the conclusion that I live in a very boring area linguistically.

Anyone else want to improve on my boring Dorset greeting?

My gran told me the story about her aunt who was English. She didn't realise 'hen' was really just for women. One day her aunt was visiting and approached my grans big brother and his friends with 'hello hen' he never lived it down.

Judging by that avatar, there's more than one greeting that I could give you
