Just been singing along to Matt Bianco "Sneaking out the back door with a grin" As a young kid, I pictured nothing more than a back door leading to a garden full of flowers... |

I need a little sugar in my sugar bowl - Bessie Smith
The dirty blues is all sex
'I need a little sugar in my bowl
I need a little hot dog between my rolls
You gettin' different, I've been told
Move your finger, drop something in my bowl' |

Old blues tunes are packed with thinly veiled filth! See Robert Johnson "you can squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my leg"! |

"Perfect day "
That is a song about a perfect day, Lou Reed has denied that it's about heroin and has said that it should be taken at face value. Let's face it he's written enough songs about drugs for us to take him at his word. |

The original version of "Shake, Rattle and Roll" by Joe Turner was full of innuendos. When Bill Haley and the Comets recorded it in 1954, they removed all innuendos to give it more public appeal. However, the line "I'm like a one-eyed cat, peeping at a seafood store" remained for some strange reason. |

Chuck Berry's "My Ding-A-Ling" wasn't about a toy bell!
There's also another jump-blues tune from the 50s, "Big Ten-Inch Record" by Bullmoose Jackson.
"Got me the strangest woman,
Believe me she ain't no cinch,
But I really get her going,
When I take out my big ten-inch....record of the band that plays the blues,
She just loves my big ten-inch.....record of her favourite blues". |

Im convinced Beautiful Head by Courteeners is about getting his dick sucked.
Another year and you might as well murder me
Tie me up in ribbons and force feed me butterflies
As the eyes roll back
As the eyes roll back
As the eyes roll back to the skies
It's not just your beautiful
It's not just your beautiful head
That makes me feel this way
We're exhausted
But we're excited
We're exalted and united
Let's fill our boots
And start all over again |

"Rolf Harris and jake the peg with the extra middle leg has a worrying new meaning
Wot about Two Little Boys
That's about 2 little boys who got off to war.
No subtext there."
Well, I'm glad that's cleared that one up |

Spice girls wannabe song (zig-ah-zig-ah) was about a guy who lived with Mel B and a few others in a shared flat, he had this nasty habit of taking a dump in the
shared loo while smoking a cigar, so they took to referring to him as ‘shit
and cigars’.
When she wrote the lyrics to this song this phrase was thrown around a lot and worked its way into Mel B’s brain.
She wrote ‘shit and cigar’ as ‘Zig-a-zig-ah’
So it means a dump with a cigar. |
