I was reading about Lost the other day, funny when you compare it to these days as it was 24/25 episodes a season!
Plus the writers wanted to end it earlier but the network obviously didn't. So it got stretched out even more.
I think if they had done it today, 5 seasons of 12 episodes we'd be saying it was one of the best TV shows ever. |

Battlestar Galactica reboot from 2003.
Four seasons only but with a proper memorable conclusion. Anyone who's never seen it should do themselves a favour and watch it.  |

I never watched it the first time around but have recently bunged the whole lot. To be honest, I didn’t have a problem with the last series or the ending although some of it was a cop out. That said, I think it would have felt more frustrating if I’d spent five years or however long it was following it rather than a couple of weeks. |
